Just in time for Creole Day 2013, a new music video has been released online by Paix Bouche singer Frampton Ettiene encouraging Dominicans to ‘Dance Kolte Nou.’

The song which is set to traditional Belle music, was recorded by Bat House Productions, and the music video was produced by Ambo Visuals.

According to Ettiene,  former lead singer of Nature Boys Band, the song is all about encouraging the people, especially the youth to appreciate and to keep our culture alive.

The video was shot at various locations in Paix Bouche, at the Portsmouth Market and at the Cabrits National Park.

Paix Bouche is known as a hot spot of culture on island, and several members of the Paix Bouche Cultural Group participated in the video singing, dancing and drumming to traditional music.

listen, that video is “something else”. That Paix Bouche guy is extremely creative to be able to put all these cultural pieces together. I spent some time in the classroom in Paix Bouche in the late 60s. So i can relate to that. So good job and well done.

The quality of the video was good, the concept even better. More could have been done in terms of artistic direction to really accentuate what the song was about. Great effort. Looking forward to more.
