Theresa Anthony LaPinard, 60, of Trafalgar has captured the 2016 Madam Wob Dwiyet title at an event held at the Arawak House of Culture on Thursday evening.
She took home awards for Best Performing Talent and Best in Wob Dwiyet awards.
A total of six ladies competed in the event.
First runner up position went to Stephanie Bellot Sorhaindo of Grand Bay, while Huguette St. Hillaire of Goodwill took the second place position.
St. Hillaire also grabbed the award for Best Creole Contemporary Wear.
The others who competed in the event wereTheresa Honore of Portsmouth, Magdalene Joseph of Grand Bay, and Claudette McIntyre of Trafalgar.
