The current edition of the glossy Caribbean magazine Maco features the paintings and sculpture of Roger Burnett. Under the title, “A Different Way Of Seeing” the article traces the artist’s work in the region, from the 1970’s to the present.
Roger and his Grenadian-born wife Denise moved to Dominica six years ago. Their studio at Antrim attracts visitors from all over the world and offers Dominicans a unique opportunity to learn more about the visual arts.
Their initiatives include life drawing classes, painting workshops and an on-line illustrated diary that enables those interested in the visual arts to learn more about the creative processes involved.
You can access the artist’s diary at http://sculpturestudiodominica.blogspot.com/
Today, Sunday I purchased a sculpture by Roger Burnett
of a little girl skipping, running, with her pony tail
flying and her right leg out…a small bronze with Burnett’s signature on the bottom. Can you tell me of it’s age….etc
Thanks, Bert
Thank you for you positive feedback.
For those who would like to learn more about the creative processes involved I will post details of my next demonstration/workshop on my diary page. Alternatively, send your contact details to: [email protected]
You are all very welcome to attend.
Wow this is quite impressive work. I love it.
DNO get it Right
Roger Burnett is not local. Is his nationality DOMINICAN. I believe that the headline is misleading. All fair and well that Mr. Burnett chooses to reside in Dominica but he is definitley not LOCAL
