At this time I wish to give some flowers to some folks and groups, for their help and assistance during this very, very, very long and difficult time. I give thanks to the Dominica Amateur Radio Communications, ham radio operators, groups and organizations that are already mobilizing people to send supplies to our people, and last but not lease, Q95 radio / TDN for their hard work in providing us with well needed information during this difficult time. How would we in the DIASPORA be without Q95 / TDN? I heard callers from all over the US, London, France, Africa, Dubai, the Caribbean, and not forgetting parents, families, and friends of students and faculty of Ross University. We should use this opportunity to ask PM Skerrit, to cancel all his plans to shut down Q95 and cancel ALL lawsuits against them and their staff. I know some will say now is not time to talk about that; but my question is, when is the best time to go to the doctor? Is it not we hurting? This is the time

My question is how badly off my country can be that we cannot have satellite images of Dominica before and after the hurricane. All other countries like; st. Martin, Barbuda Dominica Republic, Haiti etc have images that you could see their countries during and after the hurricane even if there is no communication on the ground.. I guest their Government is concerned about their people, that thought matter how poor or rich their countries are they make share that there are facilities in place to provide help and support to their people.. and no body come and tell me to calm down , for I am calm is just that is time that Dominicans open their eyes and see that the bag of rice and the two sheet of galvanize that they going to give them after the storm is NOT ENOUGH. Is time Dominica move forward in a positive direction and have facilities in place that could help our people and help we Dominicans aboard to know what’s going on with our love ones..

There are satellite images of Dominica pre-Hurricane and there were images pre and post Erika as well. I’m sure you understand though that they need to wait until there is minimal cloud cover until they can take images and yesterday Dominica was still very much covered by clouds.

I can tell you that they must also be very anxious to contact you.
We are all worried about our family and friends that we are unable to contact them, to know about them. They too must be anxious to let us know if they are OK and of their needs.
Imagine not being able to contact them at all. Let us hope those whom we know are all OK.
The authorities must be working on restoring communication.
