Dominica’s 40th Anniversary – National Repentance for Healing and Restoration (part I)

Greetings, Prime Minster Roosevelt Skerrit, President Charles Savarin, members of parliament, members of the opposition, state government, local government, civil servants, distinguished persons, expats, students, farmers, and the nation at large, I implore you to listen attentively to the word of the Lord.

In the wake of the recent natural disasters, and catastrophes that our island has endured, and among other things, the lack of love among brothers and sisters from Dominica, I decided not to look outward, but inward, by seeking the Lord, through the power of the Holy Spirit for answers and direction concerning my beloved island.  I decided against pointing fingers, name calling, or assumptions; rather, I went before the Lord in much prayer. This is what the Lord by the Holy Spirit revealed to me concerning our beloved island.

Since our island’s independence on November 3rd, 1978, and now in our 40th year, we haven’t known our destiny as a nation.  We are like the children of Israel wondering around and around.  We have no guide, no shepherd, like lost sheep roaming the dusty hills and valleys of time.  It’s like a man, or woman living for 40 years and not knowing their God given assignment.  Dominica’s destiny is to become the Beacon of Light to the Caribbean, and by extension the world.  My prayer is that every Dominican at home and abroad will get this revelation in their spirit, and inner consciousness.  Just as her mountains are tall and mighty so must Dominica stand tall in the spirit and be a light in this dark world.  Every Dominican at home and abroad should recite, rehearse, and write this on the table of their hearts.

Dominica’s Nineveh Moment

As the island nation enters its 40th year, this is a very delicate moment in our history.  We need to ask ourselves a very serious question.  Do we want to go into next 40 years of going around the mountain, or do we want to enter a season of rest, peace and abundance?  We must decide individually and collectively.  We all have erred from the ways of the Lord, from the greatest to the least among us.

Our coat of arms declares “Apres Bondie C’est La Ter”, yet we have put everything of the world before God.  We have looked to men and for our salvation, when salvation can only be found in Jesus Christ.  We have left the sharing and breaking of the bread of life, for the vanities of this world system.  We have allowed ourselves to be influenced and controlled by the power of Mystery Babylon with her seduction of wine, drunkenness, and loose living.  We have left the sacred place of prayer and fellowship for conversations and occasions to stir up strife and hatred.  We have done such great abominable acts before God.

We have allowed politics and the workings of the flesh to divide our places of worship.  Our land lies in waste. Our land has become barren, and unfruitful. We have hung our harps in trees when we should have been declaring the gospel message in open-air crusades in every village, and on every hill and mountain top of Dominica.

In the absence of obedience to God and His word, darkness is advancing over the land.  This is Dominica’s Nineveh moment.  Nineveh in the bible repented and was saved and spared.  Dominica will be healed, replenished and blessed as we repent as a nation.  Our nation is in dire need of a spiritual awakening.  When we are awakened spiritually then the blinders of division, limitation, jealousy, hatred, bitterness, resentment, greed, and every evil desire will be revealed for what it is, and we then can begin the journey to rebuilding and restoration.

A Call to Repentance

Our healing and restoration as a nation is directly linked to obedience to God and His word, and our love for our brothers and sisters.  To achieve this, there must be national repentance and turning away from our evil ways.  Brothers and sisters must forgive each other over political differences, money, land, religion, and everything that had divided us.  We must turn away from false religious beliefs, witchcraft, necromancy, free mason, secret societies, occult involvement, idolatry, eastern philosophy, demonic altar sacrifices, tradition of men, fear of men, soul power, spirit of the water, black magic, white magic, sexual perversion, Baal worship, vanity, reveling, and every work contrary to teachings of Christ and the leadings and promptings of the Holy Spirit.

We must be courageous to take steps to healing and restoration. We must humble ourselves and ask the Lord to forgive us for our lack of trust and faith in Him. We need the spirit of Christ to take these important steps to healing.  Husbands must ask their wives for forgiveness. Children must ask parents for forgiveness and vice versa.  Neighbors must ask each other for forgiveness.  If we have stolen, we should ask each other forgiveness and repay our debts.  We must repay debts to individuals and to financial institutions.  Political leaders must reach across the aisle and extend forgiveness.  Religious and faith-based leaders should extend forgiveness to each other. These are essential steps toward fostering an environment where national healing and harmony can be attainable.

I am urging all Dominicans to enter a season of reflection, a season of repentance, of prayer, of turning away from self to a relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ.  He is the way, He is the truth, and He is the Life.  He is ready and willing to get Dominica on its feet and moving towards its destiny.  Our destiny won’t be achieved by monetary means, or by this man, or this woman, or this organization.  Our destiny will be achieved by men and women surrendering to Jesus Christ and asking one another for forgiveness.  We are in dire need of this sweet fragrance, this sweet aroma of forgiveness.  We don’t want to miss our opportunity to be all what God has called us to be, this is a matter of our collective survival as a people and as a nation.

Sincerely,

Solider in the Army of the Lord Jesus Christ

Brilliant!!!!!!! but guess what before this country embarks on National Repentance for Healing and Restoration we must first embark on Liberating and Cleansing ourselves from Mental, Slavery ; under this present regime the “dumb will only get dumber” including the intellectually dishonest.

Yes I my brother!! That why the first order of business is repentance. When our eyes are spiritually opened then no man or organization or anything else can hold us back from moving in the direction of progress. Blessings

A great deal of what you said is all good. However, just look at some of the feed back that you’re getting. And whilst it would serve the nation good to turn whole heartedly back to their CREATOR (JEHOVAH GOD ) I really don’t see that happening based on what HE has stated. (1) We’re dealing with 2 forces, good and evil.
    (2) HE mentioned 2 road a broad and a narrow. The broad many are finding it and are traveling on it..There is an end to both of the roads, one is destruction one is eternal life. With that said,HE told us what HE will meet when HE return the second time around. And bcuz HE is GOD,HE made it quite clear that,HIS word has gone out and it will not return unto HIM void but HIS word will accomplish everything that HE said would come to pass.
So,you play your part, tell as many folks as you can and leave GOD part up to HIM. HE is not asleep,HE is alive and well and is doing HIS do.Make sure that your calling and election is secure and then look up as your redemption draws…

Gladstone indeed interesting and truthful article. Continue to live by the spirit. We are with you on promoting the word of God. Unlightened men cannot understand the message of God. It is only when you surrender and receive the saviour that the Holy spirit will dwell within you. Politics and all the merry revelry of the world will not pervert you as we see many others. People we have a free will. We have to choose. The choice is ours to make. God has not made any robots. All the glory and honour belongs only to the one and only Creator Abba, Father . Hallelujah!

Skerrit, are you telling intelligent Dominicans who are the members of the other political parties to surrender to God when you are the leader of the governing party who ordered your blind followers to persecute those who do not support you? Before hurricane Maria did you know that God exists? The day you ordered the police to prevent Mr Lennox Linton from entering his office, didn’t you know that Dominica’s who fear God should unite for the good of the country? There is no growth in Dominica after you give out materials to your supporters in exchange for ballots, what will be next? Dominica was more productive over twenty years back.
Skerrit must be stopped by all means and the other ruling government must look into what the budget when spent for during Skerrit’s ruling. Dominica is improving in the reverse. Millionaires want to invest in Dominica but refuse to because of Skerrit. Dominicans, vote Skerrit out because sooner or later you all will be begging for bread.

As a believer myself I believe in repentance, prayer and all those religious things we coming with. However, Dominica is NOT Nineveh and the situations are not the same. We need to stop playing religion especially at a time like this, when Skerrit has brought our country to shame, poverty and a reproach. We need to call out evil, as well as the EVIL one we have come to know. As a Dominican residing in the US I followed the just concluded Midterm elections, the Evangelicals, who overwhelmingly supported Trump saw he was taking the country in the wrong direction, so to let Trump know that they were not happy, Evangelicals as well as others didn’t call for national repentance

Walk in the spirit, live in the spirit. It all a spiritual life. Dominica is in desperate need of the spiritual life and awakening. More things are achieved by prayer. Dominica can and will be transformed by the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Amen. That’s serious warning. Our nation needs healing but only if our people repent from their ways and turn to God.

    November 18, 2018

Listen Gladestone, one thing I have observed. The more religious you become the less tolerant you become. Christianity is no exception. Better to preach less and do good work helping your brother instead without making a noise and not only because he go to the same church or temple or mosqe or whatever, like you. I see too much hypocracy and self rightiousness in church already. Tone it down brother. Bless you.

My brother, Faith in Christ in’t religion – Its a lifestyle. It a lifestyle where we walk, live and move in the spirit. Its a spiritual life and that is what we need in Dominica. When are moving and living in the spirit then there will be divine alignment and the blessings will begin to flow. Be blessed!

Gladstone message is real! If you are his auntie’s brother then you should support him in speaking the truth. Religion is not of God and Gladstone does not preach any religious order. He is asking us to return to God. He has to do what he is suppose to do. Here you and I quote “the more religious you become the less tolerant you become. Christianity is no exception. Better to preach less and do good work helping your brother instead without making a noise and not only because he go to the same church or temple or mosqe or whatever, like you. I see too much hypocracy and self rightiousness in church already.” You are asking him to preach less in this perilious times. The word of God clearly states that we (including you for your information) to go and preach about Jesus to those lost souls out there. One other ting good works is not gonna save anyone. No one without repentance. When one repents, his mind is like Christ so naturally the good works will come in not he other…

All this talk means nothing. Dominica ‘s problem is not any more spiritual than the next country. Call a spade a spade. This administration is incompetent, deceptive, malicious, wicked and doesn’t have a clue of the basics of running a country. How they servived so long is no small mystery. An utterly gullible electorate perhaps. No amount of religious babble will change the situation. The duplicity of the church renders it useless and equally culpable. Dominicans pray, pray ,pray but never take action. prayer have done so much after all.

      November 19, 2018

JBaptiste on judgement you won’t be asked who is incompetent or not. You will be asked what you have done with the son. You were created for God’s glory! You did not give yourself life. You need to learn the scripture, do what the Father has asked us to do. The Gentleman is calling on all of us individually to have a relationship with our maker & Saviour. We cannot rebel as Lucifer& expect to be in God’s will. He has asked us to repent etc, have a perfect commune with him. In Ezekiel & Isaiah speaks about the reason why the Angel of Light – Lucifer was thrust out of Heaven with 1/3 of the Angels. You do not want to be accused of rebellion. Rebellion is like witchcraft. You need to humble yourself and realise that you cannot fix anything in this world inhabited by Lucifer and his fallen demons. You have to make a choice whom you will serve for God did not make us robots but gave us free will. I leave a last one – harden not your heart when u hear the word. God alone…

As I remember, slaves were subdued by being taught to surrender to Jesus Christ and alas, many of their decedents, without question, fall for the same ploy today. I doubt that this is what God intended.

    • Prayer Warrior
      November 19, 2018

That was true. However, that isn’t the spirit of Christ. These slave traders and masters used the bible to serve their wicked movement. The spirit of Christ is of pure love, light, peace, reconciliation, redemption and most of all Love for God with all your heart and Love for your neighbor as you love yourself. The Anti-Christ spirit worked through these men with the hope that we would never see the light. With the hope that we would always hold the view that it was used to enslave, when my brother, the spirit of Christ is that of freedom, liberty, Life, and inner peace. My prayer is that you wont stop there; but truly take a look at the life Christ, and ask for His spirit. You will get a great revelation on these lines. Blessings Brother.

My brother, I concur. The history of our fore-parents, who were subdued by Christianity has followed their ascendants to this day. When we look close at what is still happening to our people worldwide, we need to stop and reflect and come to our senses. Religion was used to control our minds and to get us further away from ourselves by adopting the religion that the slave masters used. When are we going to shake off that monster that has plagued us for over four hundred years? Is being religious helping us as a people or are things getting worse as the years go by? We have been waiting for jesus to come back to take us to heaven but it seems like many who believe that myth have been straying away from their belief. Pastors are eyeing young women in the churches, even though they are married. Priests are molesting young boys, some of our men are molesting the young sisters, hatred and envy have taken possession of our minds, many glory in the LGBT movement and the lists go on.

      November 19, 2018

Are we better off now than we were before? The thing is, there is no jesus in the sky who is coming back regardless of what has been written to get us off our spirituality. And why should we worship a white jesus when those who enslaved our fore-parents were the same race? We have been fooled for too long and we have accepted the mythology for too long that it is hard to detach ourselves from such. Are we aware of the plight that we are faced with? So many are trying to wipe us off the face of the earth yet we worship the very ones who do so. We love that race so much that we will do anything to defend them. We hate ourselves so much that some of our women do not love themselves. They bleach their skin and even go as far as wearing animals hair to cover their natural hair that they were born with, not knowing that they are harming themselves. Our hair is like antenaes that connect us to the universe. That’s why our hair grows up, while every other races’ grows down.

Well said “out of south city”.

As Marcus Garvey said: The West Indian doesn’t need an enemy from outside for he is his own worst enemy from within.

For thirty years my work as a painter and sculptor has been to give the Afro/Caribbean woman pride in her own identity. But with bleached skin, false hair and disguised facial features, it seems that I am losing the battle.

My brother, you are on a mission and you were born to convey the message to our Afro/Caribbean sisters through your work of Art. Sometimes, it seems that our work is to no avail but trust me, someone is listening and paying attention and the work is getting through, breaking the barriers that tend to keep our sisters trapped in their own minds. Please continue to depict The African sister and let her know who she is. It may not seem that much is getting through to them but I look at things in a positive light. There are some eyes that are being opened because I believe that more of us are aware of our African Story in this present era than before, when we were only taught History. Africa is slowly rising again and our youth need to be a part of this awakening. Those of us who have the knowledge and the eyes to see have to be the fore-runners. The brothers, such as Marcus Garvey, Bob Marley, Malcolm X, Dr. Ben Yochanan, Dr. John Henrik Clarke played their part.

Out of south city. Please be aware of wolves in sheep clothing. Why is Roger Burnett making it his mission for “thirty years” “to give the Afro/ Caribbean woman pride in her own identity”
How patronising! So Afro/Carribbean women need someone like him to make them believe
that they are worthy and that they are beautiful? WHY! God help us indeed!

It is left to us, along with brothers like Professor James Smalls, Ashra Qwesi, Booker T. Coleman, Dr. Umar Johnson and the many other African scholars, to carry the mantle. We know that religion has been used to divide us, separate us from our Spirituality, our African languages and culture and to continue to look for gold in the sky while the enemies of our race are reaping the gold on the most prosperous continent, Africa. While our enemies disdain us, yet they will not relinquish their autonomy in Africa. Like you mentioned, we are our own enemy. Some of us have not come to grips of who we are so we continue to see our selves in every other person’s image.
A brother once said, “stand in front of the mirror and don’t move until you love what you see.” The African must learn to love him or her self because no other race will do. Professor James Smalls said, “the Asian would not even piss on an African if he was caught on fire.” Yet our sisters patronise them religiously.

Marcus Garvey also implored Afro-Caribbean women to take the kinks out of their mind, not out of their hair.

Roger Burnett and Out of South City. Christ is the highest state of Divine Consciousness. He is the Spirit the inner light. Greater than an ancestry of any kind, be it African, Caucasian, Indian or any other race. I appreciate my African ancestry but Divine Light and Spiritual Consciousness.. Christ burning in my soul as the One true Light, is greater than any earthly, or human experience. Through the power of the spirit of Christ, I can elevate to a place of pure love, pure compassion, forgiveness, and pure light, no longer bound by borders, or culture, or ancestry. I would love to reason with you, hopefully one day this will be possible. Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms can only be attained through His Spirit. Blessings!

Skerrit, Savarin, Blind Skerrit supporters, Bellots, DBS Radio etc….I hope that you all have listened:
“Since our island’s independence on November 3rd, 1978, and now in our 40th year, we haven’t known our destiny as a nation.” We have looked to men (those false Labour leader, Skerrit?) and for our salvation, when salvation re like the children of Israel wondering around and around. We have no guide, no shepherd, like lost sheep roaming the dusty hills and valleys of time. Skerrit take note! You have failed to guide us, only led us to Bobol practices. Please repent and Get lost from our government. Take note, you time is near.
This one is nice, Skerrit take note: “We have allowed ourselves to be influenced and controlled by the power of Mystery Babylon with her seduction of wine, drunkenness, and loose living…with handouts of Bobol behaviour and deceitfulness, a behaviour of nepotism, skulduggery and a failed Skerrit and corrupt Labour Government. Please go away and let us…
