DSC & UWI Open Campus debate on the CCJ today

Caribbean-Court-of-Justice-sealThe Caribbean Court of Justice is a better final Court of Appeal for Dominica than the Privy Council.”

That’s the topic of a debate between the University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus  and the Dominica State College (DSC), which will take place from  6.00 pm today (Thursday April 4, 2013).

The UWI Open Campus team will propose while the students of the DSC will oppose the topic.

This is the second in a series of such debates  which have been organized to foster camaraderie among the students of the two institutions while encouraging students at these tertiary institutions to develop their skills in public speaking and research.

The first was  in November, 2012, on Capital Punishment. UWI Open Campus emerged victorious in that debate.

The event will be held at the Public Service Union Building on Valley Road, Roseau and the public is being invited to attend.
