Avon partners with O.D. Brisbane to lend helping hand

O.D. Brisbane & Sons in partnership with Avon Products donated fifteen cases of shoes to two primary schools in the Kalinago Territory.  The donor was the 125 year old catalog company, Avon Products Inc., which has embarked on a region-wide programme called “Shoes for Charity”.

Mrs. Greta Dahl-Keith, Avon’s Caribbean District Manager, in giving a background to this programm,e said that her company takes pleasure in giving back to the communities from which our Avon representatives earn and to also ensure that people can enjoy a gift of beauty with a new pair of shoes.  O.D. Brisbane & Sons (Dominica) Ltd is please to be associated with Avon Products  as they have a like minded philosophy of giving, caring and sharing.

Salybia and Sineku Primary Schools were the two primary schools chosen that benefited from the donation of shoes valued at EC$5,000.00 this time.  The handing over ceremony took place at O.D. Brisbane & Sons on Friday June 17 at 11:00 am. Ms. Cyrille from the Sineku Government School and Mrs. Lorraine Belle from the Salybia Government School received the donation on behalf of their respective learning institutions.

Our Avon Representatives offer incredible quality products at a well needed value especially given the economic state in Dominica. Our Avon earning opportunity that has been increasing the standard of living for Dominicans showing us a great need for charitable gifting as well.

The teachers expressed their gratitude for the gesture and vowed that the shoes would be put to good use by the children.
