One of the early pioneers of recording music on records hails from Castle Bruce. His name? I will be right back with the answer in just a few. Gregoire “Lord Breaker” Bannis. He spouged the late Roy Alton’s, ” Am going home one day tomorrow, am gonna see my baby back home” which was great. A motorcycle accident in late 1968 on Federation Drive in Goodwill prevented him from defending his crown in 1969 which he could have won for a third time in a row. Lying in his hospital bed, he became a captive audience to listening to his own song, “Doctor am feeling sick, doctor I have headache, don’t worry to hold me for the carnival, I can’t stay in the hospital”.
