Delices water supply system to be commissioned Wednesday

Residents of Delices and nearby communities will on Wednesday witness the official commission of the Delices water supply system.

The facility which will service both the communities of Delices and Boetica came at a cost of $2.8-million dollars.

“The Delices water project was one of six priority projects that the Government of Dominica has funded and DOWASCO has undertaken. Some of these projects have already been completed,” noted DOWASCO’s Manager of Customer Service and Human Development Gwennie Dickson.

She explained that the project for Delices consists of new and safer easy access trail to the intake.

“The access to the intake was dangerous at the time. We now have safer and easier access. We also installed electric pump stations,” she said.

The project started in March 2010 and was completed in April of this year.

If I am paying tax and VAT and all these other taxes the government must work. That’s the reason why they are in power to work. A government has a role to work, build schools, rehabs. hospitals, roads, bridges and boost the economy. Put law and order in place to protect the citizens.

This is not a FREE B!!!
