Funding has been made available for this current financial year circle, that is to say, 2016/2017 financial year for works on the following police stations:
1. Inspectors quarters in St. Joseph
2. Barracks at Morne Bruce
3. Training school building at Morne Bruce
4. Portsmouth police station
5. Delices police station
6. Generator house for Calibishie police station

To date, both Barracks at Morne Bruce are fully refurbished.

Over nine hundred thousand dollars ($900,00.00) was spent for the refurbishment of the Barracks in question.

In terms of the new building to house the Inspector of Police for the St. Joseph District, the tender process for the selection of a contractor for the construction phase is completed and actual work will start soon.

In so the police stations in Delices and Portsmouth are concerned, estimates from potential contractors for the repairs are presently being evaluated.

The step will be the actual commencement of the repairs on both Delices and Portsmouth police stations.

“It is instructive to mention, from all reports, the officers of both these police stations are aware of the intended repairs,” National Security Minister, Rayburn Blackmoore said in a release. “I have said before and I want to reiterate for the purpose of emphasis, government will continue to ensure that improved condition of work of police officers remain as a top priority on its development agenda.”

Well , well , if D.N.O did not publish that information nothing would have happened, where was the chief of police? the pal rep for this area?, I have constantly say the chief don’t leave his air condition office to go no where except to the bathroom all this is happening on his watch , while he collect a pay check , he should be ashamed of himself , now what about the police station in pte Michel the government purchased a piece of land in pte Michel for a fire house, and a police station it has been more than 15 years and not a brick has been laid down, while they continue to rent from a private owner, we could have build five station.

That information did not came out , until the Skerro administration was expose on D.N.O., the condition those Officers had to work under for a low rate of pay are health concern hazards , the doctor that is always behind skerro tail coat and the chief of police should have been aware of the situation , and yet Skerro say to them no cost of living increase to them , nor the rest of the civil servants so thanks D. N. O. for the exposer , keep up the good work , while we at the issue what about the land that was purchase 15 years ago in pte michel to build a police station , and a fire department station to serve the sourthern region, up till now nothing has happen the land is full of trash, weeds trees, the current police station is a rental house from a private person, that money if added can build 6 stations, so I asked when is pte Michel

These Labour Party so called government ministers make me laugh and these guys and gals appear to be operating from a big circus where people envy a big laugh at those who make them laugh. Blackmore et al, the joke is on you guys. Why, / Because you all everyday try to bring up so called “Something is happening” whereas you al are a bunch of nitwits, questionable corruption deals and you all are caught against the wall as there are many questions to answer to.

Is this the full story? Something seems to be missing here. I couldn’t help but notice that this there’s no mention of these projects being sponsored by the untouchable cbi program. What’s wrong? Maybe cbi will be talked about later. Still early days maybe?
