National Budget reflects economic situation in Dominica – Austrie

Austrie

Housing Minister Reginald Austrie says the 2011/12 national budget presentation was one which reflects the economic situation in Dominica.

Austrie told reporters moments after its presentation that persons were probably expecting some harsher measures based on the global climate.

Austrie said the budget met the approval of the Dominican people.

“I am happy that there will be no new taxes. Our capital projects will continue which will stimulate the economy. You also heard that our social propgramme will not be affected, in fact it will be enhanced,” he said.

He said in these circumstances, “nobody could have presented a budget which is reflective of the economic situation”.

Austrie said the budget also seeks to cushion the effects of the global financial crisis on the people of Dominica.

110K fo rthe population, 18 million for the team 250 million for me. a little thing set aside for sexual entertainment like in macou some for BJ spiritual advise etc. scholarship money for any doable queen models a few sterling etc. did I leave out anything Peepip? Oh almost forgot senior counsel,Lawrence etc funds for legal protection etc. Not forgetting Saverin’s medical/”phone call” bill in Martinique.Add yours readers.

Could someone kindly define for me, Stimulation of Economy? How has the economy been stimulated? what are the writings on the wall regarding the economic state of Dominica? Whats really is a Budget for the Dominican people? When will the people be able to raise their hands in the air and say, thanks that money is being placed in their pockets and things are going goood for everyone. Stimulation of the economy has to take into consideration everyone in Dominica.Unless the people in Dominica can get an ease up from the pressures of life and the budget is meant to make the place a better place, this budget will remain just like another day in Paradise. Nice talk by the leaders will not cut it, emotional statements will not cut it, only action and hard work will cut it. Word to all politicians, please put party politics aside for a while and focus on country. To much campaigning and old talk instead of coming together to build Dominica. All Parties come together instead of a senseless and useless war of words which does not build the nations and have the population more confused and depressed. Build the Economy and stop the campaigning for a change. Dominica is in need of some love, more love and more love. The nation is crying… wipe her tears…… If this is not done – the crapauds will smoke our pipes….

Somebody please tell me what are the capital projects that will stimulate the economy. The state house?, The west coast road?, the sea defense wall?
The only stimulation that is going on in Dominica is the continuous fooling of the people who are easily fooled.

Well explain to him/her what and how the capital projects are going to stimulate the economy. Your comment is ignorant if it does not counter his/hers with an explanation of the minister’s statement.
