I am a non-adventist and i attended this workshop and it was very informative, interactive and fun!…I learnt alot especially about psychological first-aid. We tend to focus alot on physical first aide but psychological is also a critical aspect of disaster preparedness.. I beleive other denominations should team up with the SDA church and continue educating the public on disaster preparedness..

I think we give people like “sceptic” the very thing they are looking for when they make these stupid comments out here.

I’m no psychologist but I’m assuming that there’s nothing much going on in their personal lives. Kind of an emptiness or personal sense of failure. So they come on here and get their “kicks” as we would say. They make outlandish comments hoping to generate the furry of readers and the “angry” replies that come with it.

That I guess makes them relevant and gives them a reason to get up in the morning.

I am quite sure that you do know that the Hurricane season begins in June. Too often we are unprepared for such and I may be wrong, but I am thinking this is preparation for the natural disasters which all the islands are exposed to especially within the next six months. Look around you, and you will see the amount of natural disasters taking place and the effect on persons. Are you, skeptic, prepared physically, emotionally, psychologically or even spiritually for the disaster that will come your way???

Stop crying down churches and get prepared. Read Matthew 7:1-5

First of all the adventist church was not officially founded until 1863! Second of all people in general of all races & religions believed the world was coming to an end in 1844. The adventists have read the bible and concluded that Jesus went into the most holy place around that time to begin judgement on the dead. They also believe that no one knows when Jesus will come as it states in Matthew 24:42-44, therefore no adventist will tell you or predict when Jesus is coming. And finally the adventist are always having programs like these. They also have their own disaster relief agency called Adventist Disaster & Relief Agency (ADRA) which helped out with the Haiti & Japan earthquakes & Pakistan floods. Maybe you should do your own research before comments that has no basis or foundation from whence it came.

Big up to the Remnant of God for keeping such a seminar in this timely manner. It is much needed as we are in the hurricane season to get our nationals of Dominca prepared in case of any major natural disaster that may occur

Is this preparedness for the end of the world? They too had predicted that the end of the world would come in 1844. When it didn’t happen they say Christ went into a higher heaven. Up to now they have remained silent on this contradiction. Can someone stand up and explain to the world what they mean as they now having their disaster preparedness at the same time with judgement day predictions. Is there something that they are not telling us?

You real stupid. The Seventh day Adventist did not predict that, it was a group of people that included different denomination. Is uneducated people like you that have Dominica in that state it is in. Think bigger, look beyond what you hear people say, read for yourself, educate yourself. In case you forgot, we are in the hurricane season, it is a very good thing to have such a seminar at this point. smth

Get your information correct please. The Seventh-Day Adventist church was formed in 1863. They never predicted that Christ would have come in 1844, it was the Milletrite movement. Christ coming wouldn’t be a disaster so Adventist wouldn’t need a disaster preparedness workshop.

get your facts straight brother.. the SDA church never predicted the end of the world in 1844. If you’re not aware the SDA church has an organization called, Adventist Disaster relief Agency (ADRA) which offer relief all over the world for persons who are victims of a disaster… preparedness is part of it cause all we all know, preparedness help save lives.

Concerning the coming of Christ, it was never predicted by Adventist but by persons of different denomination including Sunday worshipers, After deeply studying their Bibles, amny of them happened to find the Sabbath truth, ( many of us will do if we study and stop listen to just what the pastors and priest tell us)

If the SDA church believed that Jesus was coming on May 21st that wouldnt have been an issue cause the members would have been found IN CHURCH when he returned. So stop the judgement and the criticizing ..

      just saying
