The Ministry of Education & Human Resource Development has advised that ALL students of the Dominica Grammar School are to report to school on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. This includes students from forms 1 & 2.
Since the passage of Hurricane Maria, the Dominica Grammar School has operated on a shift system with the Goodwill Secondary School and accommodated students from forms 3-5.
Students must wear khaki skirts or pants with plain t-shirts and school shoes and socks.
The school is now ready to accommodate its full student population. Students are asked to report for classes beginning at 8:00 a.m.
why is the old wing of the grammar school still being used? Place looks like it is ready to fall down. Isnt it a public school funded by the government?the place should be renovated.
I feel sorry for students in Dominica. You are expected to be at school by this time in uniform..such a caring government..no where does it say if you are having issues with uniform we can help you getting one. Good Job ministry of education! I’m sure there are students who need help but of course you show no empathy!
Look, if there are students who need assistance they will get assistance from the government. The children need to be back at school. Almost all schools have opened and the children themselves are looking forward to reconnecting with their friends and teachers.
Take the costume money and buy uniform for the children and shoes and socks too.
That’ll never happen
My sentiments exactly !!
Some kids don’t have access to electricity folks, some may not even have Khakis
The greatest of all builders
Wrought with his mighty hand
All that we see around us
In sky and sea and land.
The mansion he made was perfect…
39 years later, this song is still magic to me.
Is the Clarion still published? Is Zangoulous still around?
They even have to wear socks too?
@Dominican Passport,….NO they don’t have to wear socks, they should go bare footed with ashy legs
