CYA Natasha Jervier attends Global Youth Forum

Natasha Jervier

Caricom Youth Ambassador (CYA), Natasha Jervier, is representing Dominica at a Global Youth Forum which is being held in Bali, Indonesia.

The forum which was officially opened yesterday, is organised by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and it the International Conference on Population and Development (ICDP) to bring youth together from all over the world to discuss key issues that affect young people, with the theme, “Promoting Youth Rights at the Heart of Development.”

The discussions are expected to focus on staying healthy, comprehensive education, decent work, families and sexuality and leadership/participation.

According to Jervier, there are almost 1000 delegates from over 130 countries in attendance with an additional 2000 virtual participants. Key speakers at the opening were UNFPA Executive Director and the Minister of Health of Indonesia.

She says yesterday’s discussions focused on the issues that affect youth in terms of their health including some priority arch as HIV/AIDS, chronic non-communicable diseases, comprehensive sex education especially for adolescents.

Jervier says conference participants are also advocating for youth to be meaningfully engaged in policies and issues that concern them.

Don’t be suckered into the U.N. propaganda agenda young people of DA. They are not out for your best interest. They will try to sell you on their Agenda 21, the goal of which is to eliminate at least 80 plus percent of the population of the world. That means you too.
