Dominican students inducted into honor society at UVI

The inductees from left: Ezra Williams-Daniel, Phil Smith, Kensha Casimir and Melissa Morgan

Four Dominican students at the St. Thomas campus of the University of the Virgin Island (UVI) have been rewarded for their academic performances by being inducted into the prestigious Golden Key International Honor Society.

They were inducted into the society at a ceremony on the university’s campus yesterday.

The students are  Ezra Williams-Daniel, Phil Smith, Kensha Casimir and Melissa Morgan.

Golden Key International Honor Society, founded on 29 November 1977, is an academic honor society which recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement and excellence among college and university students from all academic disciplines.

Golden Key has emerged as one of the most dynamic, forward-thinking organizations in higher education. Committed to an ethos of recognizing academic achievement and encouraging altruistic service, the Society’s on-campus presence has reached over 390 chapters at colleges and universities in eight countries: Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, The Bahamas and the United States.

The mission of the society is to enable members to realize their potential through the advancement of academics, leadership and service.

you sound soooo dumb! Why would you use such a nasty word to describe this young man and his accomplishments? :-x

      • Out of South City
        April 4, 2011

If you were really a Humble African you would not address this fine young man as a nigger. That’s what the slave masters called our forefathers and this is very degrading. Some people must know what words mean before they are used. Hope you learned a lesson from this post.
