DSC holds ‘historic’ commencement exercise

graduateA total of fifty students will on Friday, March 14th, graduate from the Dominica State College (DSC) in what has been described as a historic commencement exercise.

The Spring Graduation of the 11th Commencement Exercise is the DSC’s second in less than a year.

During the ceremony two Bachelor of Science and 45 associate degrees will be conferred.

Three students will graduate with certificates in the Applied Arts.

Three students will also receive awards for attaining the highest Comprehensive Grade Point Average within their majors.

Speeches will be delivered by the President of the College, Dr. Donald Peters, minister of education, Petter Saint Jean, while magistrate Bernard Pacquette will deliver the commencement address.

President of Dominica, Charles Angelo Savarin and Mrs. Savarin, are to be the honoured guest at the ceremony. Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrrit and his cabinet have also been invited as honored guests.

The exercise will take place at the DSC’s Auditorium, Lower Campus, Stockfarm from 4:30 pm.

    :-D :-D Congrats to all the students who persevered to make this day so momentous. Great idea to have the spring & fall graduation. Thanks to the president of the DSC and all his lecturers.

      lol totally agree wit u on that one. as far as I know the Caribbean only has two seasons the wet season and the dry season. just goes to show a lot of people heads in the clouds making clowns of themselves…smh awa wi

    Congrats to all…the students as well as the tutors who prepared them well.
    This is the end of one journey and the beginning of another..or as the saying goes “the first day of the rest of your lives”. Go forward and make yourselves and your families proud.

    I notice the honored guest of honor is d President and his wife. I hope they know that the new Mayor is also from the Roseau North area and the conselors who represent d area as well. Protocol must be shown to d Mayor.
