The Dominica State College will be the recipient of the third Annual Sir Arthur Lewis Memorial Book Award.
The award, which is valued at $2,700, is presented annually in alphabetical order to a selected college in each member country of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union and is funded by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB)
The award will be presented on November 2 following the 16th Sir Arthur Lewis Memorial Lecture at the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium at the ECCB Headquarters in St. Kitts.
This year’s lecture will be delivered by Dr. Vaughan Lewis, Professor Emeritus, Institute of International Relations of the University of the West Indies, St Augustine campus.
If you are a teacher as you say then I think you should have been able to get something more done about it than to place it on DNO. While I am against this behavior, you saying such things in public about your institution is not helping it’s image. I believe you should have taken the matter to the Dean or the Student Services Director if you have the information.
So True
As a parent I am very much happy with this contribution but there has been issues pertaining to the safety of students at this institition. My daughter has complained to me about sexual harassment by a certain member of the teaching staff. It seems that other students have complained in the past and the authorities are definitely not taking any heed! This needs to be stopped! As a member of the staff I also have reason to be weary of this and I am not too happy that the intersts of our students are being protected! IF PEOPLE ARE NOT WEL THEN THE ACUTE UNIT SHOULD BE THEIR HOME!
I MUST comend the government for its efforts at developing this DSC but more needs to be done to protect the students especially the young girls from sexual vultures who have “THE lAW “to protect them!
lets do this before its too late ! SEXUAL FAVOURS AND MARKS DONT CO-EXIST!
