DSC to welcome over 600 new students

On Tuesday, September 4, 2018, Dominica State College (DSC) will be welcoming over six hundred (600) students for its Orientation Week 2018.

The main goal is to equip and prepare our new students with the essential tools to be successful at DSC and to provide them with all the necessary information that they would need to have a strong start. Additionally, creating opportunities and occasions to meet new friends, to engage one another in the college community and to enjoy all the social aspects that the college life offers.

The college will host its Orientation activities from September 4 – 7, 2018 which will include a combination of educational activities for students.

As customary, DSC Orientation week will begin with a formal opening ceremony on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. at the DSC, Upper Campus grounds in Stock Farm. The Chairman of the Board of Governors, Dr. Ian Lambert, will give the charge to students, standing in for the President of the Dominica State College, Dr. Donald C. Peters.

On that same day and throughout the week there will be educational sessions where students will learn and acquire knowledge on the school’s student information system.

For application information and a list of open programs visit our office of Enrolment and Academic Management at our Stock Farm campus.

wow! That’s good man. The future of the NEP looks very good. Out of the 600 new students al least 75 of them will work for NEP, cutting grass and another 50 will work at the call center. But what will the rest do? We talking 475 of them. No Ross, no Breezes’, nobody hiring, no bananas, no airport, Morrocan hotel not opening, coffee plant not opening, everything dying boy. We need a change of government bad gason. I am a labor but I can’t run away from reality man

DNO you seem to have an error. Tuesday August 4th should read Tuesday September 4th? Isn’t it? Congratulations to the 600 students for Orientation Week. Let Jehovah be first in your life and all you do. Respect the Most High One and it will be not difficult to respect yourself, your Teachers, parents and peers. This is indeed a golden opportunity that most of us did not get in our time. Your bodies are not yours but a temple of the holy spirit. Do not indulge in all the ugly things that perverts our society. Reach for the sky. You can do it. We bless you young ones. Let other youth see the Christ in you in the way you carry yourself.

It is better to pay for books than to pay bail. You the youths of today have the world literally in the palm of your hands. Imagine holding a device that can give you just about any information you want in seconds and can have a conversation with someone at any far corner of the world, while seeing the person. Trillions of information can be stored on a pin head and people can work from just about anywhere in the world without having to be physically at the company’s site. Youths, you have the skills and the opportunity to make more changes in the world. Your potential is only limited by the work that you put in or lack thereof. Work hard and make yourself and everyone proud. God bless and may God continue to richly bless and keep you all.
