The Grand Fond Primary School hosted its 3rd Annual Pupil Awareness Day on Thursday November 29, 2012, under the theme “Setting the Right Environment for our Children.”
The day was set aside to coincide with Universal Children’s Day and to highlight the students who attend both the primary school and pre-school.
Activities for the day included addresses by District Education Officer, Ernie Jno Finn, Village Council Chairperson, Joyce Pascal, prayer by Father Michel Favalier, and words of encouragement by the father of one of the school’s students.
Those who attended the event were treated to songs by the school’s choir, poetry and drama.
As part of the event, deserving students received tokens for academics, punctuality, regularity, discipline and deportment .
See photos below of the activities for the day.

Congratulations to the entire staff and students of my Primary School.
Congratulations to the management of the Grand Fond School. Many of us look forward to the week of activities to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Primary School moving from Rosalie to Grand Fond. A lot has been achieved in terms of development of individuals…… but now those so called developed individuals should think of creative ways to give back to a deteriorating community. Mrs. Leslie you’re doing a great job in the school you’ll have to lead the way in mobilizing the group to help the community.
