Congrats Laurel,It is so amazing to read about your achievements. We all know it wasn’t easy but you did it.

Let me just say that there are a few great Dominican ICT Women that could work collaborative wonders with Dr. Laurelle Jno Baptiste. The Ministry should schedule a “LET’s GET ACQUAINTED” working session with these women:
These women are AVRIL COIPEL of AID BANK; Ms. Lucia Steadman of Business Training Centre; Ms. Darren Grell of OECS-EDU; Jermaine Jean-Pierre of ICT UNIT. There are many others I did not mention. Bring them together and organize for next year’s “ITU promoted WOMEN AND GIRLS in ICT”.
An opportunity for young girls (but including our boys !!!) to interact and build dreams, aspirations and develop ideas towards career choices.
And by GOD DOMINICA, please provide some annual budget to make all these ideas and activities happen continuously.
I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be
Everybody’s searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone who fulfilled my needs
A lonely place to be
And so I learned to depend on me
Another great one MRS. GLORIA WATSON JEAN PIERRE. Intelligent ladies
And Mr. Cadette, why didn’t you come up with this brilliant idea when you were the Director of Telecoms? Sh
Im so happy for this move more of our dominican people out their like her should come back and share with us by the way she is from Marigot
I’ve just found my role model!!
that’s the product of the then st Andrews high school. soooo proud of you.looking forward seeing you again
Congrats doctor. Proud of you. Good initiative by the government. Wish I could be there. As a former student of mine and past student of St. Andrews High School and fellow Dominican, you made us proud.
GREAT NEWS!! I got to know Dr. Jno Baptiste in early May 2013. I did not know she knew me – I taught her sister at St. Andrews in the late ’80s.
I was impressed with her company ScholarLab’s performance and we discussed she sharing more about ScholarLab’s technologies and services to Dominica.
She so wanted to speak to someone within the ICT sector in the Caribbean and a fellow Dominican.
I am pleased that Bennette Thomas – the new Director of Telecoms-the Ministry of Telecoms and the Ministry of Education could embrace her expertise. Great Job – ICT in all endeavors is the way to go.
This was the dream of Abraham Durand in the Ministry of Education who up to last year worked with me in ICT so he must be pleased. Success!!
Great Work of BENNETTE THOMAS to act, initiate and bring to fruition.
This is absolutely lovely.Great Strides for DA & Dr. Laurel.
And you just have to want to get part of the GLOW!!! SMFH
Looking forward to hearing more about this. on another note, interesting timing to introduce her to the island!!!!!!
