The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development has brought the curtains down on their week-long activities aimed at celebrating Numeracy Week under the theme “Mathematics through Technology, Engineering and Play.”
Numeracy Week is a signature Mathematics program organized by the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development every two years.
On Thursday April 6th 2017, students from primary and Secondary schools in the Western District participated in a grand exhibition/competition that showcased their math projects.
Prizes and participation gifts are to be awarded to the students and teachers later down in the month.
See below pictures of the exhibition.
congratulation to all schools and students who participated. I saw the work of the Salisbury Primary school students and it was great. It looked liked the two students were the youngest among the groups and made an excellent representation of what the Salisbury school offers. congrats to the organizers.
Wow so many talented and intelligent minds. So proud of all of you.
PS. surprised i am the first to comment.
Great job CHS 4B!
Mathematics is usually a weak subject area for many students. It’s a very good idea to have this type of function to get students to develop a liking for the subject. Most people have to apply mathematics in their daily lives. Congratulations to all the organizers on a successful week of activities. Wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Wait, no Math Power? Guess St. Mary’s Academy were winning too much.
very creative. Our teachers and students have a lot of talent. When given the opportunity they always do well.
