JCI Dominica spreads Christmas cheer to Isulukati School

Tuesday 20th December 2016 – Junior Chamber International – Dominica, brought smiles to the faces of about 60 students at the Isulukati School of Special Needs and Early Childhood Education in the Kalinago Territory this month.

The students were treated to a Christmas party through which they enjoyed fun games and were gifted with toys from JCI’s very own Santa Claus.

The teachers and parents expressed gratitude for the initiative which was hosted on the school’s premises.

JCI President Calvia Timothy said; “Our children are a major part of our society and in keeping with our mission to create positive impact, we feel it fit to give back to them.”

A special presentation was made by JC Monita Nicolls-James, on behalf of PAT PROBERT through Ken George Dill, Manager of Khatts, to the Coordinator of the Special Needs section and the Principal of the Isulukati Pre-school.

JCI Dominica is grateful for the support received from various businesses towards the Christmas party: Digicel, Jolly’s Pharmacy, Springfield Trading, Khatts Taxi & Tours, Archipelago Trading, Lindo Mart, Fine Foods Inc, Depex Colour Lab, Guiyave Restaurant, Starrin & Sons, G P S Services and Pearl’s Cuisine.

The contribution to Isulukati stems from an ongoing relationship which JCI commenced even before being officially reinstated in Dominica. Recently, JCI Dominica conducted a three-phased rehabilitation project at the school.
