LIME hosts Christmas party for its adopted school

Students have fun at the party

Christmas came early for the students of the Roseau Primary School when LIME came bearing gifts and goodies for a Christmas Party of a Lifetime on Wednesday afternoon at the school’s premises.

In early September, LIME formerly announced its adoption of the school. One of the promises made was to assist with a financial contribution on a yearly basis towards the school’s Christmas party. However LIME’s General Manager Jeffrey Baptiste decided that his team would plan and execute the party, as opposed to simply making a contribution.

With eats and drinks in abundance, bouncing castles, games, music, and LIME’s staff and Roseau Primary School teachers at their service, the students enjoyed every moment of the afternoon Christmas Party delight.

MC Felix Henderson added a special touch with his unique style of entertaining from jumping in the Bouncing Castle with the kids while singing Christmas tunes to joining in the fun of musical chairs.

Mention must be made of the generosity of LIME’s employees who contributed their personal funds to the purchasing of gifts for the over 140 students making up the school population. Assistance also came from the LIME Sports and Social club towards the staging of the party.

LIME’s General Manager Jeffrey Baptiste said LIME is committed to keeping the promises made to the school as its adoptive parent. “We wanted to give the students of our adopted school an opportunity to enjoy a wonderful Christmas Party and to ensure that every child receive a gift this Christmas,” said the LIME GM. “Christmas is for children and this may be the only gift that some of them may receive and we are happy to be there to ensure that they enjoy this special time of year when children look forward to opening presents”.

School Principal Gretta Roberts described the party as one of the best ever and expressed gratitude to LIME for creating the opportunity for her students to have fun and to experience the joy of the season through the party and all the beautiful gifts provided.

Very very impressive I must say…. I really like that….thumps up to lime.

I have one concern, the banking sector….Do they give anything at all?

These banks need to adhere to their corporate responsibilities too….I think they are just so tight fist….

I am impressed. I think that every business entity whose Balance Sheet reflects positive Retained Earnings at the end of the year should adopt a school, home for the elderly, family, farm or some venture where they can give back to the community on which they rely for their very existence. Thanks Lime for leading the way.

I think all the big companies should adopt a school. but not only giving parties at xmas time only, but support them year round.
