“Reminiscing the Past, Embracing the Present, Looking towards the Future”, was the theme of the Massacre/Canefield 2011 School leaving Class, which comprised 43 students (19 Girls and 23 Boys).

Nine of the students got scholarships from the Grade Six National Assessment Exam, while three received bursaries.

In order to implement the above theme, the “Massacre Heritage Council” has been launched.

Among the main aims of the Massacre heritage Council are:
1.    Research
2.    Setting up a Resource Centre
3.    Database
4.    A Hall of Fame
5.    Establishing Waitikubuli National Trail Link

Membership is open to all former Students of the Massacre/Canefield School, Staff and Friends of the School.

The interim Officers are Mr. Cassani Laville (Feature speaker at school leaving ceremony), Mr. Garmon Graham, the Parish Priest, The School Principal, Staff Representative, and Parent Teacher Association Representative.

We are in search for our history. If you are from Massacre (and attended the Massacre Primary School), and knows somebody you think contributed to the Community and should be in our Hall of Fame. Please tell us!
We would love to hear from you.

Yeah for Massacre….we have produced some of the best and will continue too. I remember the days of teacher Joseph…this man was exemplary in his teaching methods. Now i see what the other teachers and staff are doing with this generation.

Keep up the good work and Massacre will continue to produce big and better
