N.E.C.S Students Excel

Coming off the heels of a national and CXC regional award, the North East Comprehensive School (N.E.C.S) continues to set itself apart in the successes of its students.

The first term which ended Friday 16th December, 2016, was one which according to Principal, Mrs. Octavia Alfred, “brought many challenges but also presented opportunities for success and high achievements.”

During its end of term closing ceremony, the school took time to award and recognize the efforts of its students who excelled in various subject disciplines for the first term.

Students with averages of 85% and higher were given special recognition, being added to the Principal’s Honor Roll.

The Mathematics Department also launched the Math Honor Society by inducting the first honorees, who had obtained averages of 90% and higher.
These students also displayed discipline, positive attitudes, diligence, consistency and hard work.

Referencing the school’s motto “Education is Freedom, Embrace it”; the Principal stressed that this mindset informs the practices and culture of the school.

She also wished to commend parents for their support and cooperation over the past term and solicit their continued partnership in the new year.

The school takes this opportunity to wish all its students, parents, staff, stakeholders and the wider Dominican society a blessed Christmas and best wishes for the new year.

Pleased to see you are recognized for your achievements. This, in itself, is encouragement for further studies and a challenge to aim higher.
Congratulations to each one of you.. Keep up the studies. A few more years and you will reap the benefit of a lifetime.
