Another Primary School in Dominica has come on board the Child’s Friendly School Initiative.

The St. Luke’s Primary in Point Michel, has officially launched the program which focuses on quality education.

Special Education Teacher, Naomi Abraham, said many activities and programs have been implemented which aim to develop students at the institution.

“Some of those include sports, the arts, culture and agriculture. The school has always been at the forefront for the management. The school boasts of vibrant after school programs in music, guitar, and the local drums,” she said on Friday during the launch of the initiative.

Abraham said the school has also embarked on a certified marine program with the Fisheries Division to train students professionally in the art of fishing and other marine activities.

“St Luke’s believes in positive reinforcement. There is a reward shop for students and teachers,” she added.

Meantime, three students have been inducted into the schools Hall of Fame.

Daneal Dupigny got inducted for sports, Jarnett Jean Jacques for music and Maycee Lawrence for diving.

The St Lukes Primary also launched its school’s market on Friday.

Roseau Market Superintendent, Julius Carbon, said the move is in keeping with governments thrust to promote healthy living.

Song, dance, drama and poetry also formed part of the official launch of the school’s Child’s Friendly School Initiative.

But the administrators of dno need to stop this. I posted a comment yesterday. I don’t see it today.
Don’t you think people need to know that we have special education teachers, special education kids ie those with dyslexia, ADHD, ADD and a host of other problems and there are people to help them but instead if bring in the schools dealing with the children, they are sitting on Cornwall street.
I agree DNO, you re the greatest. Keep censoring. I hope if u are ever censored you on create a stir about it.
