VF INC. promises to ignite Dominican youth

Roseau – On July 25, 2011, VF Inc. ignites Dominican youth with their Annual Youth Series, “Empowering Our Youth for a Better Future”.

The 6-day series promises to inspire and encourage youth to be their best, to explore issues of self-confidence, to provide strategies for dealing with peer pressure, to provide career guidance plus much more.

“As Dominica prepares for its future, VF Inc. believes that we cannot move forward until we equip our youth with the fundamentals needed to be prepared for tomorrow. With the advancement of technology and the inadequacy of life skills among our youth it becomes imperative to have forums such as our Youth Series to give our Youth tools that can be used throughout their lives”, says CEO of VF Inc.

Each day is jammed with powerful information:

Day 1: Self Confidence and Being Your Best You

Day 2: The Real Deal with Health and Wellness

Day 3: Your Money & Managing Adversity

Day 4: Getting in College & Making the Right Career Choice

Day 5: Developing the Right Work Skills to Get Your Dream Job

Day 6: Hike & Party

This Youth Series promises to be beneficial to young people looking to become more in life and wanting access to resources that can be used to make them more self-sufficient and happy. Each of us know of one youth that could benefit from this dynamic Youth Series, and VF Inc. is charging each conscious citizen in Dominica to sponsor a youth and thus make an investment in empowering our Youth.

If you see a young woman or man departing from their true potential, VF Inc. encourages you to make a change by sponsoring a youth for the 3rd Annual Youth Series.

The powerful line up of workshop facilitators include: Ms. Irma Edwards, Msgr.  Jno. Lewis, Mr. Michael Astaphan, Dr. Francis Severin, Mr. Athie Martin, Ms. Olivia Williams, Mr. Daryl Bobb, Mr. Kondwani Williams and Ms. Sharianne Blackmore.

Registration is $100 for the 6 days and includes lunch, snacks, and transportation to and from VF Inc. on 37 Cork Street to Diocesan Pastoral Centre.
