Youth group on a mission

Some members of the group

The Dream-Team, a non-profit organization under the umbrella of the Deliverance Baptiste Church in Goodwill, is on a mission to promote its latest play Choices II.

The play is part of preparation for a trip the Jamaica, the group said in a release.

It is expected to be held on June 10 at the Arawak House of Culture.

The Dream Team was formed in 1998 with six members and currently has a membership of 20. It is for young people from the age of 13 and up.

The group has done major plays and members serve as worship leaders, musicians and Sunday school teachers. Members minister at the Princess Margaret Hospital and visit the prison once a month.

According to the group’s release members are motivated by their desire to see young people give their life to Christ as well as becoming productive citizens within their local communities.

They are under the guidance of their pastor David Serrant.

Great initiative and keep it out. Idle minds and hands are the devils workshop so it is good to see young people get involved in things that are positive and enhance their skills and abilities. Way to go!!

It’s nice to see our young people doing things that are positive. Every time I listen to the radio I always hear of young people robbing and raping and smoking and getting all kinda trouble. So it is refreshing to read know that things like this is going on.
