But even then, I was starting to think that I really wanted to try my hand at writing a novel. It took me a few years to sit down and actually start writing fiction. It took even longer to get it published.

Dominicans still playing/making the old Calypso music that’s outdated. Trinidad, Barbados, Antigua and others are taking advantage of our Bouyon Music and you guys playing this lame, boring Calypso that Trinidad does not even play or produce anymore. Stay with the times, man. We like being copy Cats and bring down our very own. Throw this Calypso bull dodo away.

    DICE is a …
He should do some soul searching to find himself. I do hope he
is successfull, because if he doen’t, then he will become a statistic
like Mike Tyson, OJ Simpson, and the other jokers of that ik.

I enjoy calypso, and I am looking forward to an exciting season with or
without DICE.. Let’s get ready to rumble! 1 2 3 … and let the show begin!

i believe the reason why dice is not singing is because they pressing him, i don’t know if its because he’s a rasta, when there’s WCMF going on they never let him perform, when ever he had to represent dominica in trinidad, they sent daddy chess, so what they hell he have to come back for, if i was in his place i would have done the same thing. THEY JUST PRESSING THE RASTA MAN ON A WHOLE maybe thats why he has theta attiaude towards singing and representation of the country.

Congratulations to all the calypsonians who have made it thus far. As for the issue of Dice not being there, Dice is a very talented individual, it is such a pity that before he even made it, he behaved like he was lord over all he encountered. Regardless of how hard he has to be because of where he came from, he should learn that some of the most successful people history has ever written about were humble individuals who used their fame and success to truly make a difference. Imagine if Nelson Mandela was a pompous man, would we even take a second look at him? We would probably say he should still be in that jail cell. It is very true that our attitudes determine our altitudes.

Peaple dice is not calypso and calypso is not dice so things will go on without him. he adds so much to calypso but if he was to die now calypso would go on without him so lets move on. the man has a right to do wat he wants with his talent… I love dice style but i love calypso first. I hope and pray for an exciting season.

Unfortunately many calypso lovers are not participating as the events are being held at Krazy’s Kokonuts…….many people are disgusted by the man and would not patronise him……I am hoping they find a suitable venue

  17. December 21, 2009

way papa! without taking a breath, all you people jump from quarreling over politics to calypso??? Dice kill his talent. he have pat aaron telling him what to do. let serious calypsonians contend and stop making calypso into a Dice thing.

If he was smart he would try to get somebody else to write songs for him, instead of being Pat Aaron’s mouth-piece.

TO: Young man in Dominica. Not because you support a particular calypsonian means you should just jump down somebody’s throat for voicing their opinion. Everybody free to make their own judgement. that’s what freedom of speech is about.

… where was dice, i personally think dice is killing his career and taking his fans for granted… the calypso rule which states once you were not at semis the previous year , you should start at elimination is applicable to all..

just like last year the season will go on .. big up all the calypsonian who didnot make it.. in those i like acre with sonia , pussy cat with the tea and trendsetter with in the bin ..that was a nice blend with that topic…

good season to come so people support the art form by patronizing the events and the various tents organized
