Put together an impressive line up of Dominican talent, some stunning vocal performances and an amazingly appreciative audience and you have the 2014 Q Talent Search semi final at the Arawak House of Culture on Saturday night.
24 competitors took to the stage, pitting their voices and performance abilities against each other in a bid to make the QTS final this year.
By the time the competition was over, the audience too, had very emphatically made their voices heard as to who their favourites were. However, the final decision belonged to the judges and when the results were announced, it was the following participants who found favour with them:
Tracy Johnson, Carlene Simeon, Jasmine Laville, Earl White, Marsha Laurent, Jessica Rivierre, Willis Joseph, Kenisha Hadeed, Leon Fontaine, Roggerson Jeremy, Sharon Gordon, Alicksia Thomas, Dannella Georges, Sherika Rephy.
The 2014 QTS final is scheduled to be held at the Arawak House of Culture on November 1, 2014.
willis was not that bad, he just needs to work with his music, for sure its gonna be a tight competition and I will be there to support these young people

Since i have been following QTS every year has been the same thing… How is it possible that the girl singing “listen” from portsmouth makes it thru and Abina doesn’t… Yes Abina sang a medely of songs which threw of the judges but u can see Abina has what it takes to 1. Pull a crowd and that girl can sing…
2. Willis… althought he was 4 mins late on his song not to mention flat and out of synch he still passed thru guess the judges felt moved..
HATE OFF TO Carlene, Tracy Johnson, Earl, Marsha and Jasmine.. Those 5 stole the show las night if one did not place i would not be sure as to what show the judges were watching..
Carlene: You have a lovely voice, love ur song choices, love ur passion and emotion i can see u really want it but u have to come harder for finals
Jasmine: really soulfull voice.. expression and that smile
Earl ; Try something new.. enjoyed the reggae last evening but a lil micheal bolton or something
Marsha.. you have the voice to make it.. loved ur rendition.. at first i was scared cause when Rachel did that song she killed it.
tracy aka temptatious.. you wrecked it.. u really did like the voice and the outfit but was expecting u to come with a wild out hair styyle
Roggerson ur song choice needs to be better.. you have the country western thing about u….
Overall the show was 80%.. Not up to standards as to when Jael and Simeon was on the show
Bring back Street Swag for finals and make them do a longer dance..
The reasson she made it was becuz she captivated the judges which was the objective to begin with….2nd thats y u r a qts follower and nt a judge or paticipant…in a nutshell I think ur just a HATER and love to complain if u dont have nothing gud to say shut up. The show is not on ur standard and u keep coming?
As a participant who did not make it thru… She “captivated” the judges u say?? didn’t u hear that she was off key and she lost breathe and she simply was out of pitch… congrats to all the others who made it.. i will be backstage for sure.. but the judges need to come better this was my first year and sure will be my last.

The girl was sick allu Dominicans to like to malpalay people give d woman a break like it or not she is inside to the participant sorryyyyyyyyy apparently u should have went off key lmao maybe you would have made it……point blank the girl can sing it was just unfortunate she was battling with the flu and asthama attack….what i like is that she didn’t give up the challenge she’s a fighter and coming hard around for the number 1 spot.
