Jazz singer and writer, Barbara Bully-Thomas, has released a new single to add to her repertoire.
The new song “Change my Mind” was written and performed by Bully-Thomas herself with with arrangement/sax by Luther Francois.
Francois will be performing, along with with Eric Illdefonse at the Creole/Jazz Festival.
Bully-Thomas said the song was written on commission for a British movie which it may appear in, but this has not yet been confirmed.
If it is accepted for the movie, the song will be played for a scene in a smoky, lounge bar in a jazz club around 2 o’clock in the morning.
Bully-Thomas said the song has so far received numerous favorable responses from several individuals, amongst them jazz legend Minchie Israel.
The song is being touted as “classy, sophisticated jazz.”
