Singer and songwriter Barbara Bully-Thomas has released a single and video to commemorate the staging of the World Creole Music Festival in Dominica.
She said the video and single is a ‘gift’ to her home island.
“I put this video together to mark the occasion of The World Creole Music Festival 2013 in Dominica, as a gift to my home island to be used as seen fit by the government agencies advertising Dominica – The Nature Island of the Caribbean,” she said.
She hopes that Dominicans across the world will share the video and song with family and friends “in an effort to promote our home island of Dominica.”
The name of the single is “Come to Dominica” and it was sung by Tasha P. and arranged by Cornell Phillip.
See video below.
I came across this Great video, very catchy song, your country is very beautiful, the pictures are breath taking, I will be visiting for sure,am gonna tell all my friends about this paradise I found…there gonna be so jealous… Thumbs up
Thank you for your kind comments.
Only thing i liked was Tasha P’s voice on the song. This sounded like something straight out of “The Little Mermaid”.
Sorry, it didn’t even make me tap my toes.
its catchy
Great Job Barbara…and Tasha P sinks with the pulsating Rhythm of the steel band ever so nicely.
Loved it.
I meant “synchs” not “sinks” in the above piece
why she didnt sing the song.. Carmem
Why you didn’t sing it if you so damn rude
Well it seems like it’s only me who found this to be a work that was hastily put together. The song has a beat of a nursery rhyme, I could do a video like that with Moviemaker. Hope it serves the purpose. By the encouraging and pleased comments here, it just might.
You dominicans never like to see others prosper smh
I’ve watched it over and over. Makes me want to pack my bags and hit the road to the Airport. Splendid rhythms too. Whom do I have to contact to place this video on my FaceBook page?
Thanks for your kind words…please feel free to post the video on your face book and to share it with family and friends…..Barbara Bully-Thomas
