Buju free as a bird but no new music till 2019

Buju Banton greeted by fans on his return home to Jamaica

Celebrated reggae artiste Mark Anthony Myrie (alias Buju Banton), first known for his dancehall bad boy image and later for his spiritual stylings ripe with Rastafarian references and conscious lyrics has been a free man since Friday, December 8.

According to CNN, he was released after spending 7 years in McRae Correctional Facility in the State of Georgia for conspiracy to possess cocaine and intent to distribute, he has since returned to his home in Jamaica on Saturday.

The question on everyone’s mind is when will Buju release new music? He has released a statement to the public saying, “I only want to be associated with my craft.” Further expressing that he wants to continue making music.

A track entitled ‘Love we need’ with vocals appearing to be Buju’s has been circulating via social media. His music producer Donavan Germain in a Jamaica Star article has denied that any new music has been released. Germain told the Star, “That is false, no new song has been released as yet,” adding that “There won’t be any new music until sometime next year.”

Hello and good afternoon my people. Well Buju don’t know how a phone work or what happen when you make a phone call before actually connecting. He also don’t understand that you can’t speak to anyone on a plane because you don’t know if that person is working for the Police or is wearing a wire. Also one can’t discuss quality and quantity of cocaine over the phone because you don’t know who is listening. Asked your self is my phone or your phone is tapped. The best thing is not to involve yourself in criminal activity just live an honest life and be satisfied with what you have. Buju had an easy life just singing now he can’t come to New York to entertain us. Am disappointed in Buju but an glad he’s out because the American government made an example of him.

Its never right to hit a man when he is down , Buju got blindsided by the agents of Reggea legal hustlers. Hate was living in his presence masquerading as love . Being friendly with the Black Man’s historical enemy , comes with major discomforts and lost of esteem. A grave lesson learnt by BUJU i hope! .

“conspiracy to possess”, “intent to distribute” …. what kind of trumped up charges are these???
He just wasted 7 years of his only life due to selective American persecution.

With less than a month to go in 2018, just having having been freed, I would be surprised if he came out with music in 2018.
