Sometime in August, Dominica News Online presented a reggae cover (with a touch of rock rhythm stylings) of Beyonce’s Drunk in Love done by Carlyn XP of Fanatik Band.
We’re delighted to present to you a video version of that production.
The video was produced by Cornell Phillip (Carlyn’s husband and leader of Fanatik Band) for Imperial Publishing and directed, filmed and edited by Jawanza Stuart.

video was beautifully done, although more interaction between them would have been better. but for a dominican made video(yes i did say that) it was well done. because lets be honest..most videos by local artists look like they were filmed with a phone and edited by amateurs.

Please bare this in mind Phillip Family,Let the couples leave their Life ,Its theirs Not Yours,The Husband produce the video it was great,…If he was not content with it he would have not produce….

1. The bathrobe is too much, should have worn a light (chiffon) pullover instead, we have seen Carlyn on stage with A LOT less before.
2. Why keep the wedding ring on? Its a video, a.ka. a movie… we know she’s married but this is not the husband, shouldn’t have kept it on for the video.
3. The wine glass she’s holding… water… only water leaves droplets like that on the glass, best they had used apple juice instead… at least the amber color would have distracted us… or heck, why not use real white wine???
Besides these three observations, Carlyn has a naturally strong voice and she is a great performer. She and her husband make a formidable pair. Overall, great job.

beautiful voice , great variation of the song but lacks chemistry between Carlyn and the guy. For the lyrics of that song…it should be more erotic and captivating ……Maybe it has to do with marital status but it’s just my 2 cents but overall good job.
She sings well but that video is a waste….no story line to the video.. she seem quite disconnected to the guy….maybe her husband shud benin d video so she cud do some.more…. i swear there were only 3 scenes in d vid.. she singing.by the window, dancing with the guy and she singingwhike tye guy models on the couch

The women of my family–she is one of us–do not wear make-up. Her beauty is natural–the God creation in her. Make-up is man-made, which vanishes even before you wash your face–we do not need it.
