CITP is on

Officials of LIME have vowed that the 11 annual Creole in the Park (CITP) will get off the ground on Tuesday saying it is all a go.

“We are good to go,” LIME’s Corporate Communications Manager, Ferdina Frampton, told DNO on Tuesday morning.

On Monday fans of the much anticipated show were left disappointed when LIME announced that Day One of the event was cancelled due to heavy rainfall on Sunday which affected the grounds of the Botanic Gardens, the venue of the event, making the area unfit for use.

Frampton said a couple of changes have been made to the line up which will include Ruff and Ready, Dennison Dice and Freddy and Friends. They were all expected to perform on Day One.

She also rubbished claims by some fans who said that LIME was not ready to stage the show on Monday.

“That is not true,” Frampton said. “We were ready to go from yesterday.”

She noted that although some finishing touches were being done on Monday morning, everything would have been ready for the opening.

She said the line up will continue almost as is and the show will not go into Friday.

Lime tell us this, if all you keep saying is the weather and not otherwise, then why were you all at the college the SAME monday looking for volunteers. They agreed because you all said that you would pay them. LIME, rumor has it you all don’t have money, I hope you all get it to pay those volunteers.

Lime should take that money to retain their employees. What the benefit of having a week of activities costing thousands of dollars when folks are being sent home daily. Our priorities are all about partying and temporary pleasures.

i do not buy what frampton is saying ,rain fell last nigh too as well and there is a prediction that the weather will be bad for the entire week so why not call it of due to bad weather it does not add up,every year we all know around creole fest and citp there will be rain ,i use to buy shoes knowing that i will not wear them again because of the mud,Lime needs to stop with all the BS for real not buying it,if it was a regional artist you all had yesterday there would have been no cancelation but its local you guys had only so you see no reason for losing any money right? disappointed in Lime

no i have a lime phone number one,i am disappointed cause i do not see their reason for cancelling yesterday line up liable thats all, they stated that because of showers of the previous nights the show could not be held, but rain fell last night and its been said that a next tropical wave is approaching the island so with that said why did they not cancel today or if tomorrow and thursday has rain will they cancel it,i clearly remember a citp taking place and the weather was terrible nonetheless it was still held,so don’t come and make baby comments i am only speaking my view that their excuse does not sound fit enough BANAN

Banan you are just a joker, with all my experience of this event as was earlier said the weather has never hampered the event not before neither during so this excuses doesnt make no sense. But, i was told the sound system and other things wasnt set up yet for monday opening and was only ready by late monday. i maybe be wrong but the future for this event is dark and i am hoping some business firm or ppl is very close to take over because this event has become a part of us and this could have a serious void in the celebrations in the future.
