Five contestants from the villages of San Sauveur and Petite Soufriere will participate in the Miss Isidore Pageant set for Sunday May 27th at the San Sauveur School grounds.
The contestants are Ayesha Nichols of San Sauveur and Kerlincia Bernard, Shermaine Eustache, Denise Durand and Lina Nichols of Petite Soufriere.
The contestants will appear in talent, casual wear, evening wear and interview segments. The interview segment will be based on the history of St. Isidore, the patron saint of farmers.
The show begins at 4 p.m.
Andra Stoute of Good Hope is the reigning Miss Isidore.
Fete Isidore is observed by the villages of Good Hope, San Sauveur and Petite Soufriere. A panel discussion on the topic-‘Reviving the Agriculture Sector-Challenges and Opportunities,’ will take place on Wednesday May 23rd.
A games night and Lapeau Kabwit competition will be held on Friday May 25th and Fish night and the Kubuli 360 Big Truck Jam are planned for Saturday 26th.
On Sunday May 27th the Miss Isidore pageant will lead into a dance with popular DJ Miguel Labadie.
On Pentecost Monday, May 28th, a parade featuring local bands and groups will proceed to High Mass which will be broadcast live via radio. One elder who has given long and faithful service to the communities and to the celebration of the Feast of St. Isidore will be honoured.
Fete Isidore will climax with music from the Bouyon Pioneers WCK.

Can the Pal rep fix the road please!…please! please! from Tarish pit(Shayan’s Bar) the road is a disaster..DNO i think you should get some pics of the road and publish a story for better roads, i personally will email you all some recent pics..i mean come on from Castle Bruce to Petite Soufriere,you literally see the dirt in the road,where’s the representation, the pal rep drives through constituency all the time and for the roads to be in this state its a shame, big shame, the people are so silent afraid of being victimize hence why they won’t say a word, the bus drivers also are so political they won’t mind changing the shocks every month rather opening the mouth and talk.come east side people we are wiser than that..we need our road fix…wish all the young ladies the best!1
Family Guy, the road is currently being repaired. I drove on the road yesterday afternoon and there were two teams working. Also brush-cutting works are being done.
Isidore coming so they trying a ting, to blind d people them…two days after d feast drive on d road again and u will see all d tarish they fulling the pot holes with, you will see if it still there..
Family guy, why try to throw water on something very good? common , be honest, you know that work is currently being done on the roads in our area so doe try that one on us. By the time Isidore weekend comes the roads will be smooth. This I am sure of. So Dominicans dont fret. Don’t allow family guy to spoil your funfilled weekend.
