Cable and Wireless Communications, under its new consumer brand Flow, will launch the 13th Annual Creole in the Park today.
The media launch which is carded to begin at 11AM at the Fort Young Hotel will, among other things, hear remarks from the Minsters of Culture and Tourism, Hon. Justina Charles and Sen. Robert Tonge and General Manager of Flow Dominica, Jeffrey Baptiste.
In addition, the listening public will hear awards being presented to a community group being recognized for its long standing contribution to the creole culture in Dominica, one special recognition award being presented to a Flow employee and the most anticipated performance lineup presentation for this year’s event.
This year marks the 13th edition of the Creole in the Park off from the heels of Tropical Storm Erika which affected the island one year ago. General Manager of Flow Dominica, Jeffrey Baptiste, said this year will be different from any other year of staging the event.
Baptiste said, “We found ourselves around the table thinking of the best program that would entice our patrons after having suffered from the ravages of Tropical Storm Erika; which caused the cancellation of last year’s biggest day time even. We can say that our patrons will be happy about our selection of artists and the flow of the program this year.”
Baptiste further stated that the company will aim to deliver on its promise to continue supporting and contributing to the development of arts and culture in Dominica, recognizing home grown artisans and musicians by allowing those selected to have a world class experience by performing at the Creole in the Park.
The media launch of the 13th Annual Flow Creole in the Park will be broadcasted live on all radio stations today from 11 A.M.
