This is why i dont go to a lot of these things. Why must you be taking pictures of me and posting online for public scrutiny and exposure when im out just trying to enjoy myself? these days all these people with cameras running around calling themselves photographers are just too much. some dont even ask if they can take your picture or inform you it will be posted online. Next you know, you seeing your face online with all kinds of comments from people who dont even know you with opinions and stories about you.

Padna the whole calypso presentation needs to upgrade. From the tunes the bands play to the stage set up to the presenters to the performers. Calypso in Dominica has not evolved as a whole for decades now. Yes we have new performers and songs and issues have changed. We need to invest in our entertainment industry if we are serious about tourism. time for an upgrade.

I must admit that this year’s calypso is of a very high class and extremely competitive. The likes of Hunter, Daddy chess and Black diamond , even young bull are ones to look out for, very good calypsoes. This is what was missing all along . Good lyrical tunes and melody.. Keep it up brothers…. Let’s bring back calypso how it used to be in the 70’s and 80’s.. Remember those songs.. Lately calypsoes are being focussed only in one direction which has become monotone and boring.. This year calypsoes are Great!!!!
