The annual “Lagoon Street Jam” gets underway in Roseau tonight.
The event, which brings together popular calypsonians, is organized by the Swinging Stars Band
Leader of the Swinging Stars Band Norman Letang said he is expecting a bumper crowd at tonight’s event.
“Tonight it would be usual Swinging Stars with calypsonians with the up tempo tunes from the Stardom, but we will welcome everyone else. We will have a good time tonight in Lagoon. This has been going on for the last 25 years
and people usually turn out by the thousands,” he added.
The event is carded to begin at 7:00.

i felt that the show was great and everyone gave their A game and it was a good show.
I must say that i am a labourite but i was very impresse witrh Lady Star second song pay back i think…that is a very pertinent song because she is asking some real questions that we need to know for real.
WE lknow that nothing comes for fgree and i think that peopel should listen to the song before judging i think some just hear one word and decide that she is bashing the government and she is not…we need to ask some questions we getting so much from china and venezuela so what di we have to givethem back what will they ask us for and how much will they want and how much will we have to give.
I think she has a very good chance with Rights and responsibilities and the new one Pay back we need to just be open minded and listen to and support the calypsonians but this young lasdy is doin great.
