Melinda Ulysses aka ‘Mel’ has released yet another the single and video for her latest single entitled “Belly whine”.
The song was originally composed by Mel on the “Blackpunch Riddim Vol2”.
The Riddim (an instrumental that is created for multiple uses. More than one artist usually composes and records on that same musical composition) was composed by Johan Bulver also known as Dj Jo° from France. Mel, and two french artists, Lhom Sam and Politik Nai, are the only three artists on the riddim.
She said she was very happy to have had her song accepted because it’s not very easy to impress the French.
Mel’s audio was recorded at the Ti Orkest Studios in Massacre, Dominica, and the video was shot both at The Sunset Bay Club and at the home studios of Omar McIntyre, the Founder and Ceo, as well as the man behind the camera of OTB ( Out of The Box) Productions. The video was released on the 5th of December 2015.
The singer stated that it wasn’t too easy to get the video up and running, however she had a lot of help from her band Ti Orkest (Winners of this year’s Cadance Lypso Competition), Hugo Astaphan for the use of his vehicle, Charles Louis (Her professional photographer), Chris Davis (a professional football freestyle entertainer) and her video vixens Charis Nation and Shalina Samuel.
