Dominican singer Michele Henderson gave a brilliant performance at Jazz on the Greens on Sunday.
She was the high point of the evening, the tenth anniversary of the annual jazz showcase.
The show, held at WASA grounds in St Joseph, featured five hours of good music and attracted a larger audience than last year’s. The mood was mellow for the most part, with the two female performers on the cast, Henderson and Llettesha Sylvester, provided most of the sparks.
Nice.Proud of you Michele Henderson.Big Up.
Hats off to you South City girl you are the best

Saw her perform when she was in third form in grammar school and I was blown away. Now she seems to be adding more weight.

Go out and show the world what you’ve got, madam Ambassador.

Well done but based on the full article she used local band players(musicians). Was there any attempt to use DA players
u make us really proud. u go girl
continue the good work Michele…you make Dominicans so proud!!!
Congrats to Michele…she always gives a good account of herself yet cominicans do not even appreciate her enough. We are too quick to applaud others yet we have our own right here. Even the media can let the know when she is going out to represent.
but that is the role of the artist and their representatives to inform the media of what they are doing. Afterall man.
Great job Michele. Any Dominican’s name in lights is good news to me.
Go Michele – very talented young lady. can sing play instruments write music – you’re good. Your dad is up there looking down and smiling. Continue to make your family and Dominica proud.
Show dem Michele! My girl you large! Dominica’s got talent and Michele you are living proof. Continue being a blessing and inspiration to others.
Woohoo way to go michele
yay!! u make us proud!
i’m tired of hearing of this lovely and talented artist only on regional or little european escapades…. i think the time is way over due to hit the american market like a storm… start a campaign… independent labels can have videos on VH1… so there’s nothing preventing Michele from going these routes… imagine if she had been pushed in such a direction… rihanna would be saying “as a caribbean woman Michele Henderson was an inspiration” lol… i bet rihanna must have heard of an artist called michele henderson visiting b/dos.. back when she was a ‘nobody’… so michele, management and close supporters.. the time is long overdue… every time is a local thingy… ay ay..
She has graced and entertained stars like John Trevolta at some event in California, our girl making strides
i support ur call
While I agree Michelle is absolutely great enough to be a world superstar, in today’s music world, I really don’t think that’s the way for her to go. The US Top 40 has no place for talent any more…take a listen to any hits station and what do you hear? Cheap covers, autotune over people who can’t sing worth a dime, lyrics that make zero sense.
It’s unfortunate but the reality is that to become successful by US standards today means conforming to the crap that they produce. Artists like Machel Montano and Alison Hinds have conceded this, and that’s why they’re not trying to be the next big thing on BET. If Michele were to go that route, she’d have to lower her standards big time, and I personally think she is much too good for that.
Look at the Caribbean artists that have “made it” in the current market…we got Rihanna and Nikki Minaj, both of whom in my opinion are an embarrassment. Michele is doing what she loves, and while it may not be at the Beyonce level, she does get recognition for her work. I much rather see her grace smaller stages with class and quality, than sacrifice that in the name of US success.
I would also add: she may also have to sell her soul to a record company in order to make it
way to go michele>.>>>>You have the support of all dominicans…..keep us updated with the fresh releases….also well done on the website….
