Jazz’n Creole at Cabrits

IMG_6070Hundreds of people, Dominicans and visitors alike,  are expected to attend r the Jazz ‘n Creole event scheduled to begin at 2.00 pm at the Cabrits.

International Jazz artiste Monty Alexander will headline the main event. Beethova Obas, Eric Ildefonse Quartet, Michele Henderson, Joy Stoute, Mel-C, Tiffany Mayne and Phase 5 are also expected to perform on the main stage.

Director of the Dominica Festivals Committee, Nathalie Clarke, said that the event promises to be family friendly.

Children under the age of 12 will be allowed free entrance and will be treated to bouncing castles and face painting amongst other activities suited for their age groups.

Tickets can be purchased at $50 in advance and $60 at the gate.

    Nice. It takes time before such festivals develop the cache where they are well attended by a wide variety of visitors from far and near. Hopefully and in time, Dominica’s “Jazz Festival” will be a force to be reckoned with.

    Very soon limited tickets are going to be cut out for this event because its growing in volume and Cabrits will no longer be able to accommodate such massive crowd. However the location is great and brilliant idea. Really and truly an event for the classy people.

    It would be a good thing if the photographer/DNO would add captions to such photographs and helpful towards promoting the musicans and the event if we were told who they are.
