Dominica was fully represented at the Notting Hill Carnival 2013 on August 25 and 26 in the United Kingdom.
Various costumes, native to Dominica’s carnival were on display.
Many revelers turned out with their Dominican flags.
See photos below from the event.

Nice pics, keep it up. hope to see you in Trinidad.
Photos are awful, comments are worse. Each need to raise their standards.
Anyway we can view more pic’s please???I love’d the carnival. I may even put my costume on and participate next year.
The man only photograped what he saw. Are the negative comments based on his photograhic abilities, or are they based on the material. He is a photographer, that what he is. He did not dress or undress any of those people. He photograped exactly what he saw.GOOD THING.Photos do not lie.Insulting him personaly is way out of line.Perhaps a more positive attitude to take is as Dominicans we could help to make our contribution to the Carnival even more positive. We are all Dominicans. He worked with what he had, I think that he has done a splendin job.
To all the previous negative a..e..le.. The photo’s were taken by another reveller whose kind thoughts he believed was to share with the people of D/a the vibes from over seas.
Next time we will keep our photo’s to ourselves and enjoy them.
In response to the fool that says sensay was rubbish remember clever Dick we are not in DA where you can get the real materials required to make the sensay, stop talking out of you ar..s.
I have never come againgst such ungrateful people such as Dominicans.
to the person who said that is slavery mentaliy to enjoy carnival. Pleas reflect and go back to read on why carnival is being celebrated to this day could it be that we are celebrating emancipation.
We are all eager to enjoy pictures of fetes that occur in DA but it appears that DA people are not interested if they do it is with such negative vibes.Even though we live away from DA we are still Dominicans.
We hyave photo’s of the other revellers your system could not accept all the pics at once.
Please patrons be more wider minded stray away from the shallow thoughts.
I shall leave on a happier note good day to the nice people in DA no problem.
ADMIN: Don’t be discouraged by the negative people. The general feedback has been good. Keep sending the pics and we will publish them.
A pity no one took the time to have at least one authentic Sensay. Not de majee i see.
Should have hired a better photographer. Where are the photos of the rest of the masquerades’?
I am in total agreement with Cyrique. I live in Ladbroke Grove where all the floats comes through. Since I left home in my teens I used to be a participant in carnival with my Portsmouth friends when I was younger, folloed by my children as this is something that I have grown up with and duly admired.
As an older citizen I have become an observer, and yes I was very proud, proud and happy to see Mas Domnik with a large following this year.
Mr.John Vincent and everyone else who made it what it is today, I am saying Koudous to you all.
We as a nation should appreciate what we got.(Everyone is entitled to their opionion)
I can understand if one is not of the participating kind, However, I praise and thanks others for putting us as Dominicans on the world stage.
Keep it up Mas Domnik!
Who is responsible? I would love to take part next year!

What a load of hypocrisy. I am from England and have been to carnival in Dominca many many times. I see people in Dominica dressing in the same rags you are talking about, flying the same flags you are talking about. Because the pictures are from England you seem to have a problem or maybe you are jealous who know or even cares, but all I have to say to you is get a life for yourself and stop worrying about what others do if it does not affect you. I too followed that band in England and yes, it was the best band in Notting HIll. All Dominicans were proud to fly that flag and you should happy your country is represented….but no you would prefer to complain and moan. I will going to Dominica carnival next year and I am looking forward to it. There is a saying in England..if you cant say anything nice then say nothing.
If you cyah take de heat, doh come in de jam, ok? What you talking about people wif flags looking for recognition, people degrading themselves, and all that crap? If you not interested check yourself and leave us alone. Tell me in what way people degraded themselves. Is it by taking Dominica to the world?
By taking off their clothes in front the whole world. You crab.
Happy to see DA represented everywhere around the world. We have to start marketing ourselves someway somehow… if we don’t who will?
Show love, not a flag.
God’s people are not of this world. Don’t like BACANAL.
there is more segregation in your Church than anywhere else.
There must and should be segregation in the Church, because the Bible say to “come out from among them.” (All you so)
King Willy I agree wid you 1000% They degrade themselves and go right back into slavery. Carnival is a sign of Slavery dressed in rags.
Anyone has a contact email address for Ken Buntin please?…
Well, Big up to Ken Buntin For doing a marvelous job with the photography. People really seemed to be enjoying themselves.I know Ken Buntin, and he is a very lively person. Glad to see him in the foreground of world class entertainment.Big up!!!
Who is the big fat,old lady standing by the bus??Lol, I thought she was another Bus.
The lady posing in front of the bus is Carol Buntin, Ken Buntins wife. You are very rude and ignorant. Yes, as most of us are, she is a little overweight. But she is a beautiful Dominican woman.
So true, Them so that bringing down Dominica.
Because u can’t be there.
you are disgraceful
Sick and tired of all these people with flags looking for self recognition and claim that patriot BS.
Go crawl under a stone, you slug!!!
He’ll be looking for you under the stone. Your paloot.
You really are a WILLY!!! What on earth do you mean by that??? I followed that Band and felt so PROUD like many other Dominicans to fly my flag through the streets of London. There were more Dominica flags at this year’s Carnival than any other year!!’ The zouk, kadance, boyoun etc, which was played – man London was on fire!!! Bagai la pwen nous!!! Can’t wait for next year (God spare our lives). God bless DOMINICA
It is because of people like you that Dominica will remain last cacarat but God has good thing in store for the nature island. Go and find a life and even maybe a job if someone is stupid enough to give you one. DUKA will have a float in Notting Hill Carnival every year. You must come join us next year. Jealous you jealous king boda.
