Reggae artiste films video in Dominica

Niyorah

Virgin Islands-based Dominica-born reggae artiste Niyorah is in Dominica filming a video for the title track of his new album.

The album, entitled ‘Let love flow’, is expected to be released this summer.

In an interview with DNO the Pointe Michel native said he decided to film the video in Dominica because he wanted to capture the island’s culture and share it with the rest of the world.

“We started shooting in the Kalinago community and we will be ending in Pointe Michel,” he said. “I want to capture the unique indigenous and African culture in Dominica and highlight it to the world.”

Niyorah said the video is his fourth and the first one being filmed in Dominica. “I am really excited about this video because this is the first one I am filming in Dominica,” he noted.

Born Nigel  Olivacce, Niyorah has been a reggae artiste for 13 years and although he left Dominica when he was five, he still considers the island his home.

‘Let love flow’ is also the artiste’s fourth album. He has toured the east and west coast of the United States and has performed in Hawaii, Guam and South America and has an upcoming European tour.

He said his next move is to concentrate on the African and Japanese markets.

The video is to be released in the next couple of weeks.

ADMIN: If you had read the article carefully you would have seen it said the video is going to be released in a couple of weeks. The video you are talking about was an old one posted by a reader!!!

Nice you mentioned Pressure, his recordings are done by Dean Pond from GrandBay, all these artists are so tallented, I’m happy they take to The web as the best place to showcase and market their product.

Blessings. How beautiful and glorious a country can be when a youth left at such a young age yet still he feels his connection with his homeland so strongly even as he has grown to be a man.
People, love your country. It’s not the same out there. Dominica is a truly blessed spot.

Thanks bro for being a part of the solution and helping your homeland country to be recognized.

      BLESS UP.

      @Enlightened

I also know the enlightenment that you are experiencing. And I too, will simply gave praise and thanks to our God of Love.

The Love for his country, which manifests in a young man’s heart–even if he left his homeland since he was five years old–this is Love; and it is from God alone–He who is Love.

It is man, and his evil heart, who is trying to defile God’s blessings of beauty, peace, and the warmth of simplicity in our Dominica–but I say to them that Satan cannot win!

We shall overcome! So those who are hoping for gloom of day, darkness of night, or ravaging storms of war and disharmony, for the future of our country, let them dwell in their hope. For they the ones who will have their hope and rewards of torments and torture manifested in their own hearts and mind–not in ours, who are the God fearing people and appreciate God’s glorious blesings to us and the land of our Dominica.

As it is spoken, so shall it be done, in the name of Jesus Christ! To God be the glory!
