Residents who live in flood and landslide prone zones should exercise vigilance as massive rain showers are expected.
The Meteorological Office is currently monitoring a system in the Atlantic which is believed could become a tropical storm over the next few days.
Acting Senior Met Officer Cheryl Leblanc said some rain was expected last night and this morning.
“There is an area of cloudiness which is associated with a tropical wave just about 300 miles east of the region that we have been monitoring throughout [Wednesday]. The system remains disorganized throughout the day however it is moving at 15 miles an hour westward and at this speed we expect to begin feeling the effect by early tomorrow morning,” she said.
She said the system is not a storm or a depression.
