Frances Lockhart, 28, of Vieille Case has been crowned the 2015 Mother’s Queen.
Lockhart outperformed six other participants at this year’s competition held at the Arawak House of Culture on Saturday.
She also won the awards for Best Evening Wear, Best in Evening Wear and Miss Intelligence.
The elated new Mother’s Queen thanked everyone who supported her, especially her sponsors Cashwiz Dominica, A.C.S, Miranda Nail Gallery and her talent coach.
“You had faith in me and I loved that,” she said on her Facebook Page moments after her win. “You keep me strong.”
Taneka Albert of Laudat secured the 1st runner up title and copped the awards for Best Traditional Wear and Best in Traditional Wear.
Elloise Etienne, who represented the Kalinago Territory and Stockfarm, placed 2nd runner up and won the awards for Best Swim Wear, Best in Swim Wear and Miss Amity.
Annadele Jacob of St Joseph secured the 3rd runner up position and won the award for Best Talent, while Kendra Stephen of Newtown received the award for Miss Photogenic.
The other contestants were Lena Durand who represented Calibishie and Geraldine Davis of Fond Cole.
Organizers say the show, which was held for the third consecutive year, is about bringing the young mothers together in order to highlight their talent.
The Mother’s Queen Pageant Committee is negotiating to have a scholarship presented to the winner of the pageant.
Last year’s winner was Headtha Vidal of Portsmouth.
