Airline starts commercial flights from Tortola tomorrow

The airline is expect to begin flying on Thursday

As some persons in the British Virgin Islands scurry to evacuate the territory following the destructive passing of Hurricane Irma, one commercial airline that usually services the territory has introduced a flight from Tortola to San Juan in Puerto Rico.

InterCaribean Airways introduced the flight, JY 932, this week and expects to commence as early as tomorrow, September 14.

The flight is expected to depart Tortola 9am and will arrive in San Juan by 9:40am.

“Flight is bookable via the website and via the agent community. Due to no power at the airport, we have no communications and therefore no ability to assist at the airport. If customers can call 0ur Tortola number at +1 (877)-887-9233 or our number in the Dominican Republic +1-809-688-6969, we will be happy to try and call back. we recognize and share that communications have been very hard to maintain calls and wish to assure every effort on our part to help make the call successful,” the airline said on its website.
