Bishop’s Christmas Message 2014: Christmas – a New Beginning

Bishop Gabriel Malzaire
Bishop Gabriel Malzaire

Life as we know it is on a trajectory; that is, it is going somewhere. However, it also consists of changing moments and seasons that bring variety, colour and purpose to its existence at each of these moment. One of the prominent components of that reality is the need, from time to time, for new beginnings.

Christmas is that time of year which, par excellence, represents a new beginning – one with a universal dimension. What therefore is its significance for the human community? It is the story of human redemption. When the hope for ultimate human fulfillment had grown dim, God sent his Son Jesus into the world in order to make possible that complete human-divine experience, so that, “anyone who believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). St. Paul in his Second Letter to the Corinthians 5:17 attests to that where it says: “So for anyone who is in Christ there is a new creation: the old order is gone and a new being is there to see.” This is the positive nature that emanates from this Christ event.

Christmas has that effect on people, Christian and non-Christians alike. The preparation that goes into its celebration on both the religious and social levels is indicative of the value that is placed on the significance of the event for the human community. One of the dispositions conveyed through the period of preparation is newness. In our culture, we know what it is like when a child comes into a family. Except in the case of a really unwanted child, all attention is turned towards that new born.

Christmas therefore signifies new birth. Just as it ushered in the new Christian era over two thousand years ago, so it stands as a model of newness for all cultures and experiences. Ultimately, the newness which Christmas signifies is essentially life in Christ. It helps us find new perspectives in our everyday life.
An event such as this last General Election, no doubt, can be viewed from that perspective. In the campaign leading to polling day, both political parties were promising a new Dominica following to their victory. That was the message for attracting the electorate to vote them into office.

Now that the Election is over, despite the disappointment and pain which remains in the hearts of a significant portion of our faithful, everyone lives in great anticipation of that promised newness – to see it unfold before the eyes of the nation.

This season of the Saviour’s birth is no doubt well placed to give inspiration to the future endeavours of the new government. It is an opportune time for the elected members and those being governed to recognize the truth that “If the Lord doesn’t build the house, the builders are working for nothing. If the Lord doesn’t guard the city, the guards are watching for nothing” (Psalm 127:1). This, in essence, is my message for the new dispensation in Dominica.

Moreover, this season, which is characterized by sentiments of peace, is a right time to work assiduously for the re-establishment of peace among ourselves. The election campaign, no one can doubt, had its fatalities; especially with respect to creating division among families, neighbors, co-workers, parishioners, church members, community group, etc. The sooner we understand that any form of divisiveness in our communities will only serve to keep us steps away from the kingdom; greater will be the ability to work towards it.

Let me take this opportunity to congratulate our new government for its success at the polls. I pray that the confidence which the people of God have placed in them will be seen as an impetus for greater service, and which will translate into development for all.

We pray for all who in some way will collaborate in the efforts to build a stronger Dominica. For His Excellency the President, the Honorable Prime Minister and his cabinet of ministers, our religious leaders, the civil servants, the business community, health personnel, farmers and teachers, senior citizens and the youth, the fisher folk and professionals, etc.

May this season of good cheer bring abundant blessings to all!!

A Blessed Christmas to Everyone!

You talk with little or no understanding of what Opus Dei is.

If it is in Dominica it will not do any harm to the true church of the living God, the body of Christ, the bride elect. A new inquisition may serve as a wake up call to some congregations to realize they need a genuine revival based upon the uncompromised preaching of the unadulterated gospel and a return to New Testament principles. I am talking about a renewal that will bring the people of God into holiness and result in a harvest of souls.

Are there conservatives in the Vatican? My goodness, does the pope know this? He is kept busy dodging the accusations that led to Benedict’s resignation. Under his watch the church that “never changes” is beginning to change. Do you realize he has already contradicted his predecessor on the gay issue? This is only the beginning.

There is a fox guarding the hen house.

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. International Evangelist.

I am writing to OUT OF SOUTH CITY … … …

You say “Jesus is not an historic figure.”

There are some people who are unlearned because they have not had the opportunity to receive an education. However there is no valid excuse for making a statement like this.

The New Testament Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John written in the fist century AD. contain the story of Jesus birth, life, death, burial, and resurrection. Most of the other New Testament books or letters were written by men who knew Him and witnessed His death and resurrection.

I invite you to visit my website http://www.livinghopeministries.ca

    Click onto SERMONS.

Then click onto and hear my sermon MANY INFALLIBLE proofs.

I will share with you infallible proofs that Christ rose from the dead. I will give you the names of present day lawyers who have said the evidence for His resurrection would stand up in a modern court of law.

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill, D.D., International Evangelist

I appreciate Bishop Malzaire’s Christmas message. I hope every Catholic sees in it what I see.

The bishop based his message on the Word of God. (St. John 3:16) (2 Corinthians 5:17)

At the very heart and core of his comments is the gospel of Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotton Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (St. John 3:16)

The Bishop reminds us that Christmas is about redemption. May God help us to remember that Christ came to die to pay the penalty in full for our sins. One of the meanings of redemption in the Greek New Testament is to purchase by paying a price.

The bishop used the word “universal”. This is a message for all! Christ came for the salvation of the world. His death paid the price for each of us.

Each one of us must believe this and personally receive Christ. This is the new birth!

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. International Evangelist

In the godly spirit of Christmas, we must not forget, when extending Christmas greetings to others what Our Lord told us: “Pray for our enemies and do good to those who hate us.” Saint Paul has also told us, “Bless people. Do not curse them.”
In a genuine Christian spirit, may God also bless every national, resident and others throughout the world.
May God bless Dominican politicians that cooperation, peace and unity in Parliament prevail and in Dominica as you serve nationals to the best of your ability.
May politicians, through their overall mannerisms, project good examples to specifically Dominican residents that they may emulate, who in turn will generate likewise to other fellow Dominicans.
May there be less criticisms, more praying, cooperation and performing good deeds which will enhance Dominica and for its peace and safety.
May there be obedience to authority which is contained in Holy Scripture as Saint Paul told us, “Obey authority.” Failure to do this is a grievous offense against God Himself. There are repercussions for disobeying God.
“Some” of you, thumbs downers, you are not left out. The eyes of Our Lord Jesus Christ are upon you as everyone else.
May God enlighten those who excel in giving thumbs down to know the difference between good advice, good examples and bad ones.
May they appreciate what is good and useful to emulate for their mortal and spiritual benefit.
May they give compliments where they are due, no exception, in all fairness to D/can politicians. May they not exercise bias toward none. May their minds be so enlightened so as to know and see the truth.
May God also unveil their minds and grace them with this knowledge.
We have an obligation to fulfill, first to God and then to our fellow people. As Saint Paul said, “You cannot love God whom you cannot see and hate your neighbor.” You should know what this leads to.
We do know that Our Lord told us: “Love God with all your heart and soul and love one another as you love yourselves.” How many are doing that? Examine yourselves, your conscience.
For those who find it hard to forgive, sometimes for what others did not do to them as also D/can politicians, may God grace you with the virtue of forgiveness. Again, Our Lord told us, “If you do not forgive others, neither will My Heavenly Father forgive you.” Consider how much God is offended by lack of forgiveness and for retaliation.
As you lambaste others and judge them for their imperfections, God knows you have many sins to confess and to make penance, restitution and amends to him, if you ever hope to live a peaceful life and a healthy one too with progress and success, whoever you are and the hope of eternal salvation. Some of you overlook this. You better not for you will pay the price of negligence, some in a worst manner depending on your ungodly attitude!
Therefore, by our attitude, words and comments, this is how we are judged and how God will judge us. No one is exonerated and no one escapes. How I wish that some of you would comprehend that and act accordingly to one another also on this Website.
Let godliness, love and peace abound and prevail in Dominica.
Let there be peace on earth, in Dominica and let it begin with each one of us.
Help them, us Lord to do Thy Most Holy Will that you may bless them, us and Dominica!

A Blessed Christmas to you, Bishop Malzaire and all the Priests in Dominica, including other Dominican Priests all over the world. Not exempt are other Priests throughout the world who serve in their parishes. We also remember those who are studying at the seminaries for the prieshood.
Bishop Malzaire, we faithful Catholics throughout the world are praying for the Holy Father, Pope Francis I, for you, all other clergy and those others who reside throughout the world.
Our Lord Jesus Christ and Our Blessed Lady, the Ever Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Dear Spiritual Mother have told the chosen visionaries which is a message for us all, among other messages, to pray for the Pope, Bishops and Priests. This is a command from God for us specifically faithful Catholics which we must never cease doing. Our very well- being and salvation depends on this. As we pray for others, God blesses us from above.
We are also required to pray for our country, for politicians, other nationals and the entire world in general.
In view of the persecution of the Catholic Church in this era of the Great Apostasy, no exception by some very Catholic members who renounced their Catholic faith who were supposedly once faithful Catholics, we do not forget, one of Our Lord’s teachings: “In this world you will have trouble. Take heart I have conquered the world and Vengeance is Mine.. I will repay.”
All honor and glory be to God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit who will always be with His Church until the end of time, no matter what befalls It. We do know that Our Lord Jesus Christ loves His Church and His eyes are upon It because He established it. We have His promise who is faithful and true to his words when He said, “Thou art Peter and upon this Rock I will build My Church and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against It for I am with you always even until the consummation of the world.”
No one, no mere adverse, evil words can ever change or sever Its Doctrines as inspired, established and approved by Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
A Blessed Christmas also to Catholics in Dominica and throughout the world who remain faithful to their Catholic Church and who defend It.
    Thanks be to God.

    O, Come Divine Messiah

O, come, Divine Messiah! The world in silence waits the day
When hope shall sing its triumph, and sadness flee away.

O Thou, whom nations sighed for, whom priests and prophets long foretold,
Wilt break the captive fetters, redeem the long-lost fold.

    Shalt come in peace and meekness, and lowly will thy cradle be;
All clothed in human weakness, shall we thy Godhead see.

Chorus: Sweet Saviour, haste; Come, come to earth:
Dispel the night, and show thy face, and bid us hail the dawn of grace.
O come, Divine Messiah, the world in silence waits the day
When hope shall sing its triumph, and sadness flee away.

Adeste Fideles – O Come all ye faithful
Venite adoramus, Dominum – O come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord.

You are not a Titiwi for nothing.    You are the one who has gone around the bend and have a malady; one of ungodliness as your words depict.
Show yourself to be. Wake up and comprehend what I stated unless you cannot comprehend godly words which may be, in your case.
You must be an agnostic or atheist, an enemy of God and those who recognize God, pay him homage and speak/write about him and his expectations of us. Only such people could make such ungodly comments. I feel sorry for you. Learn what it is to be a godly person. Let God inspire you so that He will bless and grace you with good works, in words and deeds.
I do not want your Merry Christmas. I do not need it. It was not stated in that godly, Christmas spirit which you do not possess. It is meaningless and of no benefit.

It is obvious that you are not on the side of God and of good deeds. The devil feels the same way as you. You must be his advocate. How sad for you.
I hope in the New Year you will have a change of heart to godliness. Life is temporary and time flies. Ensure that you serve God with all your heart, soul and serve one another. This is a prerequisite to happiness and peace on earth and later in Heaven.
Pray to God for enlightenment so that He will bless and grace you to comprehend this and live accordingly, to treat others with due respect.
May He show you that everyone has a free mind and will to write godly words and of advice that you will allow them their privileged right as you expect of them. If you are not doing that, you are lacking godliness. May God cleanse your heart, mind and soul.

Soon there will be no Christians left on earth to trouble you.

The blood washed people of God will be gone and a world that has rejected the Savior will be left to face tribulation days.

The Bible declares “For the lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout , with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord,” (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17) “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” (Matthew 24:21)

In that day people who never prayed before in their lives will pray in he streets. They will cry out for the rocks and mountains to fall upon them and shelter them from the wrath of the One who sits upon the throne.

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. International Evangelist.

It is so sad that 5 people gave this beautiful piece of true poetry thumbs down.

They are typical of the millions of people world wide who do not know our wonderful Savior.

This Savior who you reject and whose blood you trample under your feet exchanged the ivory palaces of heaven for a manger to go to Calvary for you. There He suffered, bled, and died to pay the full penalty for your sins so might have eternal life through faith in Him.

      I ask you to read

      Romans 5:6-8, Ephesians 2:8,9, St. John 3:16, 1 John 5:11,12, Revelation 3:20.

      May God be merciful.

Of all the bishops that D/ca has had you are have made yourself low class to put out something so partisan and political. As bishop you need to realize you are leader of all catholics in this country. You hold great moral suation over a lot of people, those who vote for and against.Despite that you could not convince Roseau people to follow you and support the DLP.Yet at a time of “new beginnings”, when our Savior’s birth is celebrated, you should have congratulated the Dominican people for continuing the great democratic tradition and be neutral.I hope Pope Francis through cardinal Bowers,is taking note especially when the Catholic religion is haemraging membership like a sinking ship.Rise up bishop, better is expected from you.

The Bishop has absolutely nothing to do with this. He is in the business of seeing about the Catholic Church which God has entrusted him with to save souls and create and maintain peace, the latter he tried to do. You have wasted your time.
However, let me inform you. Were it not for the Code of Conduct, Dominica could probably have had blood shed during election and especially on Election Day. It was very helpful to Dominicans, the radicals to keep the peace. You should be appreciative.
If God were to stay away from you, who, obviously sin against him (He knows how much and how often) even in your writing, what would happen to you? You would not be able to stand on your two feet and do anything.
It is quite evident that you are another one who cannot accept that UWP lost the election. If UWP had won you would be praising the Bishop and singing a different tune.
Some of you have a habit of branding people and calling them names as if you are perfect whereas you are the ones who should be branded and called names. Do you not know that you are not a perfect person and more so in the eyes of God? Learn not to criticize and learn to be kind.
As the words of a song by Glen Campbell:

Let me be a little kinder
Let me be a little blinder
To the faults of those around me
      Let me praise a little more . . .

This is what you should be doing as an imperfect human being.

It is disheartening that my fellow Dominicans are so dissatisfied with the Catholic Church ministers of Dominica

. I am sure that the Bishop’s Christmas wishes is extended to all Dominicans. (I am not affiliated to any party, because as a Dominican residing in London, (although I visit often), I do not believe that I should have a vote in Dominica.

I feel blessed that as a catholic in London, I am on a fulfilling spiritual journey. This journey has been greatly enhanced by the clarity and gospel focus of great evangelists such as Father Linus Clovis of St Lucia.

Father Linus is a very popular evangelist at the “Day with Mary” sessions in London. His theological Instructions is a source of encouragement for a life away from sinful deeds. I hope that like me you will embrace the teachings as it transformed me into a happier and more peaceful being.

I pray that Dominicans will embrace the New Year with hope and like me be exposed to the Joy of the Gospel.

It is time that Dominicans open their eyes. Two institutions that control the minds of the people ar religion and politics. Mark you, these two also divide the people. They are one in the same. They have used the bible to make people think that god is involved but that god is a dead white man on the cross whose history cannot be found except in their bible. “Second Letter to the Corinthians 5:17 attests to that where it says: “So for anyone who is in Christ there is a new creation: the old order is gone and a new being is there to see.” News Article

Mister Bishop your quote above, in relations to the celebration of Christmas, is a perfect example of how we present the Word of God through human wisdom–not by the guidance of Holy Spirit–that is the reason most people are not able to receive the “Truth” of God and Life unless they have very strong faith.

Here is the re-quotation of 2nd Corinthians 5: 16-17–you should notice that we cannot speak verse 17, if we are not going to add verse 16, or something like it–that addition is certainly not the things of Christmas. a festivity that does nothing for the Spirit.

Paul says: “Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new”.

Please notice that Paul is referring to Life in the Spirit compared to our existence in the flesh–Paul is talking about us being “reconciled” to God–he tells us that we should no longer think of Christ Jesus in the flesh, hence if we have Life in the Spirit–in Jesus Christ–we are a new creature with a new lifestyle–not conformed to the world and its system, but reconciled to God–He who is Love–our attitude and conducts must demonstrate God’s Love in us.

This message has nothing to do with the celebration of Christmas, which is a worldly event, a feasting which gratifies the flesh, through eating and drinking etc. –as you have said, it attracts both Christians and none Christians. A non Christian is a person who has not accepted Jesus as his or her Lord and Savior–so what is the Spiritual benefit to that person in observing Christmas?

Once again I am saying that Paul is teaching us that Life is in the Spirit, we must die to the flesh (not conformed to the world and its fleshly activities) we then enter Life in Jesus Christ through the “new birth” that brings along a new Life a new beginning–we must continue in growth as time goes by; how can we, who have encountered this “new birth” celebrate a new beginning at the end of every year–I for one encountered that “new birth” 16 years ago. Long before that I had already come out of things of Christmas, but I have grown mightily in the Spirit –that was God’s doing in my Life, I know that today.

How do you expect your readers to understand your saying that “Christmas therefore signifies new birth” those of us who are “born again” Christians know that we only go through that encounter once in our Lifetime; it is the New Life in the Spirit that must continue in growth, getting to know God and His ways in Love, which are our practice of Life all in all?

It is for those reasons that most of us put our Bibles away, for without Holy Spirit in us, all we have is confusion, that plagues our minds, because of the feeding of human wisdom and philosophy, nobody likes to deal with that futile state day in and day out.

    Christmas therefore signifies new birth.

Well Dominica is in the hands of the forces of the Spanish inquisition the Priest and the PM and all of them belong to the same order. Simple minded country folks not recognising what has happened in Dominica just gave the catholic church power to rule over Dominic via the labour Party who playing politics with the socialist states, well America christian right called the Republican has taken over congress, interesting mix, let us see what will develop. Taking the name of the Lord in vein that is all that is happening.

    • The Facts
      December 21, 2014

King James persecuted the Catholic Church. He did not want to listen to Thomas Beckett. Do you know where the soul of King James is in eternity? I would not praise him.
Get the book, The Life of Henry VIII and The Wives of Henry VIII. He had some people beheaded. He imprisoned his first wife because she would not give him an heir. Then he wanted to marry another woman while she was imprisoned. I will tell you no more except to state, I often wonder where his soul is in eternity.
Also get the book about King James. He formed his own bible, the St. James version. You should know all this history.
You are no godly perfect person. The Catholic Church always has had power, Its own power, a mandate given to It by Our Lord Jesus Christ who established It.
Many people feared the Catholic Church as Hitler, North Korea, even China and other non-democratic countries. They all suppress the Catholic Church and their people from also worshiping God.
If the Catholic Church does not have power in a country, know that the country will become a dictatorship one. I do believe that was Linton’s intentions. This is why you UWP supporters continue to be angry because the election was lost to DLP.

      • January 16, 2015

It is the King James Version not the St. James Version

You should know that King James did not translate what is called The King James Version or the Authorized Version. He merely gave the go ahead for the translators. When the project was completed a committee presented the finished project to King James for his final approval. He authorized them to go ahead and publish it. It is referred to as “the Authorized Version” or the A.V. because the king authorized it.

King James had no direct in-put into the actual translating. This was done by a group of fifty four of the most capable Biblical scholars in Great Britain, men whose ability has never been challenged. It is the greatest piece of literature in the English language from that period. Whatever sins or faults King James had in his personal life had no bearing upon the quality of this production.

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill, D.D. International Evangelist.

    • The Facts
      December 17, 2014

This is your adverse opinion. It does not reflect that of faithful Catholics as I.
You are the one who needs a mountain top of experience and to respect the Bishop, his advice for all and his blessings. When he comments, it comes directly from God. Likewise his blessing which you are too mortally and spiritually ignorant to decipher.
Your words of no disrespect are not true/genuine otherwise you would not have made the other comments. You are in dire need of God’s blessing and graces. You certainly appear you lack them. Your words tell much about you. This is because of what is imbedded in your heart and soul as relayed on this Website.
People are what they are. Who do you think you are? You do not have what it takes to offer advice and to the well-learned and experienced Christian Catholic Bishop Malzaire. You are out of place.
You are not a person of goodwill because you spew out hatred, division and disunity; not love. Your words have also depicted that you are not even faithful to God. Whom can you deceive? Certainly, not God! He knows this about you. You deprive yourself of his blessing and graces.

I read in another article that you called LisaZavier a lizard and a reptile. I am unable to comprehend that DNO posts those types of articles as also this one of yours.
You are constantly insulting readers on this Website. You are a dictator, an oppressor who do not allow others their right to comment. You get angry with them and spew your evil words at them. It appears you cannot get along with people, even those you do not know who comment on this Website. Titiwi, when last you went to church, prayed, blest yourself with Holy Water and performed some good deeds in Jesus Name? This is your problem. You not keep occupied with things of God. PROMISES OF NEWNESS WHEN EVERYTHING REMAINS THE SAME WITH LITTLE CHANGE. The same Bishop Gabriel Malzaire

Is this the election victory speech of the same Bishop Gabriel Malzaire?  According to the same Bishop, “Christmas stands as a model of newness for all cultures and experiences.  It helps us find new perspectives in our everyday life, which include the last general elections.

The same Bishop Gabriel Malzaire wrote, “In the campaign leading to polling day, both political parties were promising a new Dominica following their victory. That was the message for attracting the electorate to vote them into office. Now that the Election is over, despite the disappointment and pain which remains in the hearts of a significant portion of our faithful, everyone lives in great anticipation of that promised newness – to see it unfold before the eyes of the nation.”

The above is true except that the same message from the same Bishop Gabriel Malzaire is insincere and is partisan in tone and substance. There is no newness in the statement of the same Bishop Gabriel Malzaire, everything is the continuation of the same and that must be rejected including:
    The same electoral fraud and violations of our electoral laws;
    The same old corrupt practices to remain in office at all cost;
    The same political promises that are left unfulfilled;
    The same party in office that will continue to enjoy the support of the church doh matter what;
    The same Government with little change in modus operandi endorsed by the church;
    The same PM with dimples and his dictatorial tendencies and approach;
The same Minister of Housing and Petro Caribe Affairs (even as the portfolio of other ministers have changed from ports to justice)
    The same Old Speaker, who will continue to frustrate and  disrespect the members of the opposition in parliament, who stifles free expression, kills our democracy and assists the government members to flaunt the laws and protocol of the House without sanction;

The same excessive /bloated and misfit cabinet of ministers:
The same old practices of victimization even to a security officer, who exercised a lawful discretion at the airport
The same appeal from the church even as it continues to support the same corrupt practices and its membership continues to slide:
The same faithful, who are crying out for moral justice lead by the same church and from the same legal justice system
The same delay continues in investigating certain criminal matters and for taking appropriate legal action by state institutions to get these matters heard

It has been put in song, “it is the same ….who will.” Without a doubt, this helped attract people to the message of an unsuccessful candidate for the UWP, who advocated for change from the same old representation. Therefore, his lordship the same Bishop should also adopt this approach and say that he is the same Bishop Gabriel Malzaire, who the DLP said is “Our boy” and he “understands” and “sympathises with us”, which led to his receipt of $500,000.00 for the same continuing renovations of the same cathedral building in Roseau.

    The same Bishop Gabriel Malzaire, who leads a church of both DLP and UWP supporters and expects and accepts offertory from all of them;

The same Bishop, who leads priests, who openly use the alter to campaigns for the government political party in prayer to the God of all, including UWP supporters..

The same Bishop who would terminate the career or defrocked a local priest but would not advise the people via local media of his decision and who is still quiet about the rationale behind his decision:

The same Bishop, who has ignored all wrong doings (morally, politically and otherwise) and now calls on us to “take this opportunity to congratulate our new for its success at the polls” but not all the elected members of parliament, which include the Leader of Opposition and the elected Parliamentarians of the UWP.

The same Bishop, who “prays that the confidence which the people of God have placed in the government (not the elected members of the parliament) will be seen as an impetus for greater service, and which will translate into development for all. The Bishop, who did not see the increase representation of the opposition as an impetus for needed change in the country.

The same Bishop, who tells us  that the elections are  over but will continue to rub the result in our faces, while knowingly and perhaps maliciously continues to aggravate the disappointment and pain  that linger in the hearts of so many of our brothers and sisters.

The same Bishop, who apparently does not seem to care that his message of the same newness of 2005 and 2009 in 2014 without  change causes more division and pain and he should stop it  as the leader of the church.

The same Bishop,  who “prays for all who in some way will collaborate in the efforts to build a stronger Dominica” as long as they accept the status quo and congratulate and support the DLP regime for winning the elections at any cost including with bribery and other means. .

The same Bishop, who offers prayers only “For His Excellency the President, the Honourable Prime Minister and his cabinet of ministers, but once again ignores the Leader of the Opposition (designate). Oh yes! This is the same Bishop Gabriel Malzaire.

May this season of good cheer bring abundant blessings to all including the same Bishop Gabriel Malzaire
    A Blessed Christmas to Everyone!
    Respectfully
    Roseau Valley

It would appear, the Bishop believes UWP Team Dominica will not be involved in the collaborated effort of building a stronger Dominica, as a result, he has asked Dominicans to pray for the President, Prime Minister, cabinet of Ministers, religious leaders, civil servants, business community, health personnel, farmers and teachers, senior citizens, youth, fisher folk and professionals. That is ok, Mr. Bishop, members and supporters of UWP Team Dominica, will do our own praying.

Beware faithfull, Opus Dei at work in Dominica. A new Inquisition will be upon us soon. The conservative forces in the Vatican are already battling the liberation of the church by an enlightened Pope.

    • The Facts

Be careful. God is watching you and taking note of your words as imbedded in your heart. You have much to be aware of and to fear.
The faithful have nothing to worry about. They are called faithful because they are faithful to God and to the Church.
Those who are not faithful, in time, God will weed them out and cleanse his Church before He cleanses the world, some of their evil ways and words. It is coming.

    • January 17, 2015

You talk with little or no understanding of what Opus Dei is.

If it is in Dominica it will do any harm to the true church of the living God, the body of Christ, the bride elect.

Jesus is not a historical figure. Show me where he exists in history and I’ll say it’s a lie. He can only be found in the bible, which is a book put together by European men and at the Council of Nicea. We have been deceived by a figure that has no existence in history. It is time that we get delivered mentally and spiritually. The whole world has been deceived by this false teaching called Christianity.

“Let me take this opportunity to congratulate our new government for its success at the polls”. Your Excellency, elections are contested by political parties, not governments. You speak of newness but since this the same government, which ruled before the election we can only expect more of the same. If you did not want to be divisive you could have omitted this from your Christmas message. That would have been more diplomatic. And if you truly believe in peace and unity you could at least have included a consoling word for the opposition and congratulate them too. even if you would find it difficult in your heart to do so. Nor is there any word of condemnation, or at least guidance on illegal practices or corruption.
Your church is very much aware of the power of symbolism, it is full of it and the choice of colour of your garb in the image accompanying your release therefore can be no coincidence. The message is clear, we must submit to the powers that be that have been anointed by God, Your God Excellency, not mine, Who is One of unconditional mercy, love and has no colour. I wish you a a peaceful and happy Christmas Excellency without bitterness in my heart but will not attend your Midnight Mass, where most of the newly anointed will no doubt occupy the front pews. I will hold counsel with my God in private instead and pray for the well being of our country and ALL its people, and for justice for Mr. & mrs. Emmanuel in particular. You have to live with your conscience just like I have to with mine. At least in that aspect we are all equal.

I am pleased to see and note that you stand up for Bishop Malzaire which is also for the Catholic Church. I suppose you are a faithful member. God of all is pleased with you. As ungodliness and unChristian-like attitude increase, there are so few these days who depict that they are also not lovers of God.
Those who criticize Bishop Malzaire and spew evil words are devoid of the blessing and graces of God. Due to their evil, hateful words as imbedded in their hearts, they deprive themselves of these godly blessing, talents and virtues. They receive more of a curse than blessings which they bring upon themselves, their country, other nationals and their endeavors. These people must be chastised in no uncertain manner, for their own good that they may change their evil mannerisms.
If only they were spiritually enlightened and had the blessing and grace of God they would not make such evil statements which descend directly from Satan and his jaws of Hell.
Bishop Malzaire is praying for them, their ungodliness and spiritual ignorance of all. This is what the Catholic Church is doing at specifically every Holy Mass celebrated in Dominica and other parts of the world.
It also prays for them who depict that they are not lovers of God and of His Church but their enemies which their words portray very well. Woe to them. These people will get exactly what they deserve. Those who say they are Christians should know this. They will receive the worst beating.
Our Lord Jesus Christ told us, as contained in Holy Scripture, “Those who know it and did not practice it will receive the worst beating.” Surely, as Christians they should know that. Do you not think this means Hell? That will be their funeral. The Holy Spirit scrutinizes all our works for our judgment. They know what we sow we shall surely reap in time and two-fold. Why do they not act in godliness? They will not be exempt for their hatred against the Catholic Church. Mortal and spiritual food for thought.

God gave everyone a free mind and will. It is that same free mind and will which will either save them or condemn them.
I think Satan is luring you away from the Church. Go and join him. You will not be missed because you were never conspicuous in it and probably never helped defend it and support it. You have proved to be another enemy.
