North Korean leader Kim Jong Il is dead

Kim Jong-il

Kim Jong Il, North Korea’s mercurial and enigmatic leader whose iron rule and nuclear ambitions for his isolated communist nation dominated world security fears for more than a decade, has died. He was 69.

Kim’s death was announced Monday by the state television from the North Korean capital, Pyongyang.

Kim is believed to have suffered a stroke in 2008 but he had appeared relatively vigorous in photos and video from recent trips to China and Russia and in numerous trips around the country carefully documented by state media. The communist country’s “Dear Leader” — reputed to have had a taste for cigars, cognac and gourmet cuisine — was believed to have had diabetes and heart disease.

    Hi Admin:
I’ve learnt that when writing on certain topics like death for example, the word ‘dead’ should be substituted with words like ‘passing’, ‘loss’, ‘passed on’, ‘decease’, as a matter of ‘formality’, ‘contentiousness’, ‘politesse’.

Just imagine writing a card: My condolences on the death of your son./// it doesn’t sound very consoling.

Let us bet that dictators like him will glorify him and present his death as a tragedy ( I mean leaders like Chavez, Castro, Morales, Armadinedjan and them…)
They are so far from the democratic values defended by the US and Europe

if north korea was an ally to europe and the united states,it would be alright for them to have a nuclear weapon right, like pakistan for example, you guys need to check the history why these nations you mentioned broke away from these so called democratic values, don’t get me wrong,i am not saying that any country should have a nuclear weapon, but what i am saying is you guys need to read between the lines.

here’s a comment someone put on msn.com news article about his son “hey lets throw 50 billion in aid and 10 billion in food at him and see if he will be a good boy for us.

lol… seriously his son is taking over… he is unknown to most and has china’s support… but do you honestly think the u.s will let this young ‘dictator’ rise just like that… i smell a corruption to sway him on their side… this guy is too young to deal with… meaning they will have to face another 30 plus years of a nuisance again

These leaders treat their own people so bad. The way they behave one would think that they are infallable. He should have invented or find a way to prevent his death.
This is one are they have no control over. Good riddance. One down, how many more to go.
