Nestled along the coastline in Roseau, Dominica, Champagne Beach has much more to offer than the pristine white sand beach that first meets the eye. Beach dwellers will be spellbound as soon as they dip their toes into the warm turquoise waters.
The sea floor covers a series of volcanic vents, which release drops of liquid crystal into the water. The effect for swimmers? Like floating in a giant flute glass of Champagne!
Great for snorkeling right off the shoreline, Champagne Reef will also wow visitors with its vibrant coral and plentiful sea life.
awesome place indeed love my dominica..
I can attest that it is indeed a wonderful experience. Not enough Dominicans explore and enjoy what we have. There are those who are even afraid of learning new things , like snorkeling. I go there as often as i can and i am never dissapointed !
From the best place on Earth, A picture speak volumes, come to Dominica and feel like a new creation.
a treasure and asset ,great!
“…pristine white sand…”??????
I think the author hasn’t actually been there.
Nestle along the coastline of Pte Michel, not Roseau, the village of pte Michel deserve some credit.
This dive spot id truly beautiful, but with the rise in sea temperatures caused by constant dumping of sewage, non Biodegradable material and chemicals from processing plants, visiting cruise ships and us locally , i doubt that our grand and great grand children will be able to experience the wonders that are under the sea at this site and other sites around the island. Our corals are dieing, our fish population has taken a plunge (ask any fisherman) and, our waters have become so polluted that if you cant swim 30 feet without encountering some form of man made garbage under the water. We as a people need to take a stand against this abuse of our own environment. Take a stand, make the personal decision to get rid of garbage properly. Dont leave your empty bottles on the beach when you have your parties, GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS PLEAS PLACE GARBAGE BINS ON THE BEACHES. When the last fish is eaten and the last tree is cut down mankind will realize we cant eat money or breath it or drink
Dominica is one of a kind we must learn to appreciate what we hv along with the tourists who come to enjoy the island and read ur bible and u will see that everything must go down …everything is gov.gov.gov….just go place a bin dr nuh and stop crying over spilled milk. OMG.
